Hey Guys, after10 years my implant failed last year in April 2024.
I'm just now going in to have a revision April 8 2025. I think I've lost some length since that time. Do you think I will regain my normal length ?
I had the 21 cm LGX implanted at that time, Dr. Loh Doyle and Dr. Boyd did the orginal implant and Dr. Loh Doyle at USC Keck is doing the revision on April 8.
Going foward l will keep the implant family informed.

Everything i've heard about revisions is that you will have more growth afterwards. My Doc told me that as well. I'm only 2 years in and I do think about when it's my time for a revision. I'm kinda looking forward to it. Yes I'm crazy and having much fun with mine.

April 2, 2025. I just had my revision. My orginal implant was done in 2015 at Usc Keck with Dr. BOYD and Dr LOH DOYLE.
Dr. LOH DOYLE only had to replace my pump because it had disconnected from my cylinders.
After my surgery I had no pain this is April 3 and I'm still not in any pain. He used the penoscrotal approach to replace my pump. Connection.

Hi superbo, great news, so you didn't replace the whole system, just the pump?

Dr. Loh Doyle told me he didn't want to replace everything because it all worked perfectly. Also 10 years ago when he first implanted me I got a bad infection. He had to go back in and flush everything out and I was on antibiotics for a long time

That's great to hear you had it 10 yrs, it is surprising that he didn't replace it all as you are already open and introducing things in your body anyway, but I am not a doctor or even close, hope it works for another 10, and I have to say I really like the LGX as well. Good luck

Actually replacing just the pump is probably the best outcome he could get. He likely wouldn't get more size as the LGX 21 is the biggest they make and it expands in length. And the pump is outside of the corpus cavernosa, meaning they just needed to do a superficial incision in the scrotum to fix this, no incisions in the penis which can cause a deep infection. Plus probably he got a super fast recovery.

@superb_h how long after the surgery did you have sex? And I'm curious if you lost any size due to almost 1 year without cycling? Or you immediately got the same size as before?

Understand, but 10 yrs is quite sometime, also since it is a revision the healing time is nothing like the original implant, I had sex in 10 days after the total replacement. Tubing is what failed on mine going to the left cylinder, if you are opening me up let's replace it all

My Doctor wants me to wait 3 weeks before I can resume my normal activities.
I will see my doctor in 4 weeks for a check up.
