What happens to the surgical capsule when getting a revision? Do they put the new implant in the old capsule or over it?

In the old one, that's the preformed and natural space for it.

Thanks for the response....I was just wondering if they go over it and make a new space for a up size .

I think all of this stuff is determined on a case-by-case basis. If there's room, they will upsize you because incorrect sizing (whether IPP or MPP) can lead to problems.

I didn't understand what you mean by old capsule. Do you mean the reservoir?

I think you mean the cylinders, yes they just go back in where the originals were, I had a revision this past June, went from a Titan, 23 cm, to AMS LGX same 23 cm, but they told me I will get some more length and girth with the LGX. Cannot tell the difference yet, but it works!

Did they explain why you would get more length and particularly more girth with the same size lgx as titan??

The only penile implant on the U.S. market with cylinders designed to expand in girth up to 20 mm and length of up to 25%., this was pulled off of Boston scientific site, both surgeons told me the same thing but left the numbers out of it.. just said you should get a little more girth and length.
