suture absorption
I am 5 weeks post-op Boston Scientific Tactra implantation (sub-coronal) and my recovery has been mostly uneventful. What's bugging me however, are at least two knots on my glans directly under the skin surface on. During my post surgery check, I mentioned this to my surgeon and he wasn't overly concerned. I guess my worry, is that with intercourse, these knots could erode through the very thin layer of skin overlying this area. Has anyone had a similar experience? I realize that this is absorbable suture and will eventually go away, but until then I'm a little worried
58yo, healthy, fit man with long-standing ED and disappointing results with conventional treatment modalities. Now implanted (07/2024) with Tactra, malleable implant.

Re: suture absorption
After 5 weeks any absorbable suture should be absorbed. You better go to your doc and let the thread remove, otherwise there is a risk of infection at the thread area.
