Hello friends,

I want to know if there is anyone out there with a penile implant and practicing wrestling, jui jitsu, or any kind of martial arts or full contact sports?
Are there any athletes out there with implants?

Regards

Thanks Paul. Since implant reservoir sack goes in abdomen, and when we are doing sports like jui jitsu, or wrestling, this could possibly cause problems. I mean I could cover the genitals with a cup, it's the abdomen reservoir sac I was concern about. As to how to cover that against hits to area below navel.

I know of other guys who have the reservoir in other places for various reasons. I do believe one guy had it more inside the abdomen. I would be concerned where mine is located. My great grandson has stepped on it a few times and caused discomfort.

During my implant surgery my doc found that the opening from the scrotum to the abdomen was quite large and he was concerned that the reservoir might fall back into the scrotum. So he took a few stitches to close it up some but he said there was still a small potential that it could fall into the scrotum. I suggest that if you want to do those contact sports you talk to your urologist about your situation. Having the reservoir fall into the scrotum sounds like a really bad thing to me.

I am a hockey goalie and play competitive tournament paintball all the time with my implant. I have taken a few slapshots to the cup with no problems to the implant. If that doesn't answer your question, I am not sure what will ;)

My doc had a post-op rule of no weights more than 10 pounds. At my appointment 7 weeks post op I asked him how long I would be under that restriction and he said that I was no longer under that restriction and could do anything I wanted. I am not strong enough to lift really heavy weights but I respond to let you know that you probably want to be careful about the weights for a few weeks post-op.

I've been bionic for about one year and practice Krav Maga. Also workout with individuals that provide executive protection services. Lot of movement, contact and physical workout involved. So far no problems. Be sure to wear a cup to protect that expensive plumbing.

I received my Titan on August 19. When can I visit the gym again? Any restrictions?
