There are a good number of us who have been faciing problems of the “stuck valve” with the AMS pump. I have complied all that I could find on FT and in the AMS/Titan manuals etc on the tips and tricks to “fix” it.
If the guys here would please help us to understand this better or explain which of these really work , it would be a great service to the community. I think most of us are going wrong in the correct technique to be used so please do give your inputs
Existing literature:
The fix was hold the deflate button and pump the bulb a couple of times
Or
nurse practitioner was pressing the deflate button and the inflate bulb alternating very quickly between the two.
Or
Try pressing the inflate bulb 3 times, firmly. Then quickly press the release button, 3 times. repeat if necessary to free up the valve.
It also said that some of the tubes could be kinked, do pull out on your penis, then up and down and side to side several times to possibly unkink any tubing problem.
Heat pad/hot bath/sauna
Suggested 3 fixes in this order. First, press the rectangular ends of the block together as if you were trying to make the rectangle a square. Try cycling. If you still have issues try fix #2. Put a few pumps into the cylinders, then press the release button while squeezing the cylinders together. Do not "milk" them, just squeeze for about 4 seconds. Try cycling. If the issues continue, try fix #3. Press the release button while pumping the bulb once or twice. Then try cycling.
AMS BOOKLET Forced deflation maneuver
Start the process by pushing the deflate button on the pump located in your scrotum to reset the poppet valve
After you have pushed the deflate button, then try to activate the pump by giving it a hard, fast, and vigorous squeeze. You may hear or feel a “pop”
Push the deflate button while simultaneously squeezing and twisting the cylinders in the shaft of the penis, holding for approximately 30 seconds. A rush of fluid should move through the pump and the device will begin to cycle normally
If necessary, return to step 1. You may try this maneuver numerous times
From AMS technicican
Always start the process by first pushing in on the deflate button – this will reset the poppet valve; after you have pushed in the button, then try to activate by giving the pump a good hard fast vigorous squeeze – you should hear or feel a pop
Also, always pull down on the pump when you are attempting to inflate to straighten out any folds or kinks in the cylinders or tubing
Burping the pump – push the deflate button in and while holding it in, squeeze the pump at the same time; this a one or two time trick only – it will either work or it won’t and you may feel a burp or “squish” of fluid or air. If the pump goes flat and stays flat, simply push the deflate button again and the pump will refill. After this maneuver return to step 1. If you still don’t have success, then:
Anti-Stiction – push the deflate button and simultaneously and firmly squeeze the shaft of the penis and hold for 30 seconds. Then return to step 1. You may try this maneuver numerous times.
The Reboot: push inward on the sides of the deflation block (as if you are trying to squeeze the rectangle into a square) .
Ams- Reset the pump by following these steps: 1. Squeeze the deflation button to refill the pump bulb. 2. Reactivate the pump with a HARD, QUICK squeeze of the pump bulb. 3. Inflate the device normally.
If this doesn’t resolve the problem, 1. Squeeze the sides of the deflation block to refill the pump bulb. 2. Squeeze the deflation button for 2-4 seconds to reset the lock-out mechanism. 3. Reactivate the pump with a HARD, QUICK squeeze of the pump bulb. 4. Inflate the device normally
Titan-Using one hand, press both tubings where they enter the corpora in effect straightening the tubing angle of insertion. With the other hand pull downward on the pump and softly press the pump bulb. It should activate immediately
Use two hands. One to stabilize and press the deflate button above pump bulb and the other to press the pump bulb. Rapidly squeeze the bulb (not particularly hard,) and while squeezing deflate area 10 times in succession. If it does not activate, press as hard as you can on the pump.
Very firm pressure had to be applied to the pump bulb to move the valve disc into the inflate position. Once this was accomplished, the device inflated and deflated normally
Try pressing the inflate bulb 3 times, firmly. Then quickly press the release button, 3 times. repeat if necessary to free up the valve.
Try pressing the deflate button and holding it depressed while pumping 3 to 4 times at the same time. This should reset the valve and allow you to inflate.
when I first start to inflate the next time the pump depresses and stays there, and the "pop" signifying it's changed to inflate mode doesn't occur. If that happens, I depress the deflate button hard and try again. Usually, I immediately feel the pop of the valve change and everything is fine. Sometimes I have to depress the deflate button a second time.
What I do is after the first pump, when the bulb is deflated, I push and hold the deflate button for 4-5 seconds. This allows the bulb to re inflate quickly and this seems to reset the valve. On the next pump the valve pops (switches to inflate) and I inflate normally. I have to follow this
