Recommendations for Implant Surgeon in Southern California

Postby pjt1958 » Mon Apr 22, 2024 11:23 pm

Hello FT. Have been thinking about implant for a while now and just saw Dr. Yafi this week for my first consultation. I was a little underimpressed and I am inclined towards an AMS implant (for various reasons).

Anyone have any recommendations for a trustworthy surgeon in southern California. I've read about the Dr Eid and Dr Perito, but prefer not to travel too far. Thanks in advance.

Loh-Doyle seems to be a good one in SoCal. If you don't want to travel I'd for sure consult with him.

I live in northern CA, I traveled to Houston to have Dr. Clavell perform my surgery. I know you don't want to travel, but Houston is about half the distance to Eid or Perito and I preferred Clavell anyway. I had the surgery Wednesday late morning and was on a 4 hour flight back home Friday at 9am with no pain and very little discomfort (his pain management and nerve block worked like a charm)

I also self paid, and Clavell was much less expensive for exactly what I wanted. As you know, this is not a surgery you shop price on, you want it perfect the first time.

Good luck in your search.

Thanks all - I am making an appointment to see Dr. Doyle! I have some mild peyronie's disease and hoping the implant will fix that plus the erection problems.

If you are near Orange County and want to travel south towards San Diego - I highly recommend Dr. Darshan Patel at UCSD. It was a very smooth experience from start to finish, very responsive to questions and concerns, and he takes care of a lot of botched implants from all over the area and has a solution for everything.

I think his main office is in La Jolla but he also has office near Rancho Santa Fe which may be easier for travel.

I also recommend Dr LoDoyle. I had a 30 degree bend at midship and the lgx 700 straightened it out. They had me 80% hard for 4 weeks to fix it. It hurt like hell but that was 5 years ago.

Thanks everyone - I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Loh Doyle and Dr. Patel for the next few weeks. I've also scheduled a virtual call with Dr Clavell. Hoping to have as good as an experience as you all have had. Excited for what's to come.

Is Dr Patel an under study with Dr Loh Doyle? What is Dr Patels first name?

No different doctor - Darshan Patel is in San Diego at University of California. i found him on the edcure.org website and on this physician finder. Jeff Doyle still at USC.

For me in Aliso Viejo in Orange County its about a 1.5 hr drive to each.
