Update at Nearly 8 Weeks

I have added some comments on other threads, but haven't really provided much of an update over the last few weeks. Things have been relatively uneventful and progressed similar to others that had easier recoveries, but I thought I would continue to tell my story because it may help someone. I think it is good to hear the positive stories and understand the more typical road to recovery. Below is my progress since my three week update.

- By about four weeks I was cycling to the max after starting slowly sometime in week three. The doctor gave me the ok to cycle, but said not to be too aggressive because of the swelling issues I was still having. It was certainly nice to be able to deflate. My flaccid continues to become more comfortable, but I am still ready to get my pants off if I have been in uncomfortable close for awhile. It is over 6.5" soft, so definitely a major shower and a lot more flaccid dick than I was used to as a major grower prior to surgery.

- I also had sex for the first time around 4 weeks. I think we did it a couple of times prior to getting the official release, but we were cautious and just took it slow and easy. The sex was good and I came easier than normal. I had problems reaching orgasm and ejaculation in recent years, which I think was primarily mental because I was focused on just staying hard. This may have improved some since I continue to cum easier most of the time.

I received the green light from the doc at six weeks and we have been having a lot of sex since then. It's been great! We haven't held back... lots of positions, long sessions, hard pounding at times, etc., and all has held up well. I will say that I have had some minor pain after sex in various places like at the base of the shaft where the tubes enter (the memorable time was on the left side, but didn't last long), just below the glans where the tips seem to irritate me at times and the sack can also take a bit of a beating. None of the discomfort slowed me down in any way. We were both sore at times this weekend (no kids, 3x per day or more, many sessions lasting more than an hour, etc.), but still wanted more and were ready to go again. I would have been sore before with this much sex. At times I had it pumped to the max and other times I kept the pressure down a little bit, which can be more comfortable.

- I have been cycling regularly and made a slight gain on girth. I started ~4.75"-4.875" in girth and now I am 5" through mid shaft. Originally, I was ~5.125" on the lower half and about 5 the rest of the way. I have measured length a few times and it continues to be about 6.75" vs. ~7.25" prior. I don't think I have gained any noticeable length in the few weeks I have been cycling. We'll see what happens, but I am not too worried about where I am or where I'll end up as long as my dick continues to work like it does right now.

When cycling it's ~20 full pumps and ~10 small pumps to reach the first max or the point that I can't pump further at the moment. I can get to this point in about 30-45 seconds if I hurry and it would certainly be hard enough for penetration or oral. After just a brief time at the above level, I can get in another 10 to 15 very small pumps and then begin to feel more of a stretch. If I bend on it a little (nothing like we see Perito do in the videos), which I can really only do up and down it may take more pumps more quickly. For cycling purposes, I don't need to rush and can let it sit, bend a little, and then get a few more pumps, which I can do several times. Now the stretch isn't too much the until I have done this several times and there is little discomfort until that point. I can certainly cycle and keep it up at the current max for 30 minutes or more.

With regard to the Perito exercises, I bend it a little, but I'm not trying to hurt myself. I'll bend mostly up and down, which flexes it some, but it doesn't bend in half or anything close to that as hard as it is and it barely bends at all from side to side. I have also started moving it around, i.e. not holding the base and moving up and down and side to side or even in a circular motion. I'm certainly getting some stretch with the cycling so I suspect I am doing what is necessary to help soften things up and hopefully maximize size.

- I have also started exercising more and the doctor gave me a full release to live my life at the six week appointment. He just said take your time building back up and listen to your body. I asked him about getting back on my bike specifically and he said no problem at all and to go ahead when I was ready. In week six I spent some time trying on different bib shorts to find the most comfortable for my nearly 7 inch flaccid penis (still looking really) and then sat on the saddle in the stand. After some adjustments I went for a short ride of ~7 miles, which wasn't real comfortable. I made some further adjustments when I got back. The next week I was generally more comfortable anyhow and decided to give it another go and got in 20 miles without much more discomfort than I would have after few months layoff. I did make some adjustments early on in this ride and kept making them to get the saddle how I wanted it. I lowered the saddle height just slightly and dropped the nose of the seat. It took a few tries to get the angle right, but I was able to adjust to the point that it was comfortable, although the saddle nose is still likely a little too far down. Positioning my penis in bibs was a challenge and then when stoping how it might feel and look when I stand was interesting. Happy to share more separately on this, but a lot of you likely aren't interested in the this type of cycling.

Here are some of the few worries or issues that I have:
- Although it has gone down a lot, I still have this swelling related mass in my sack. It has been going down since I took a course of steroids and antibiotics around week three I believe, but there is still something there. This mass seems to stem from the scar and hangs around the tubing. I believe the tubing might lie down better if this mass were not there. Doctor wasn't to concerned about it, but said to reach out if it wasn't decreasing or was growing and we would do another round of antibiotics and steroids. It's been two weeks and I have not reached back out because it seemed to be improving, but I may reach out this week, since it is still there. I have been taking Advil still anti-inflammatory benefits, not pain usually, and also Arnica. I have some general swelling of the skin from time to time to, which may come from being active, sex, etc., but seems to go down quickly on its own or with an Advil or hot shower.

- The above concern leads into the next. The tubing is dead center of my sack and there is an excess curl of tubing right there pushing on my sack next to the scar. Anyone touching my balls would feel this and I believe things would be more comfortable if it was laying down against the back. I can feel all three tubes, but one seems to have the greater excess or sticks out more anyhow. I wonder if everyone's tubing is right down the center between your testicles?

- Not really a concern, but right now it is not easy to bend and position my flaccid penis other than down. Mine naturally wanted to be down previously. There is discomfort to bend it up or to the side, when I initially do it and it doesn't want to stay there. There is also still some discomfort forcing it into uncomfortable pants or underwear. I have been wearing loose boxers and loose shorts when less active and then wearing Obviously pouch underwear when active. Also, someone told me the thong version of the Obviously underwear were more comfortable, so I tried them and found that to be correct. For me they don't put pressure on the area around the pump, which might fall inside or outside the pouch on the boxer briefs or briefs and would always seem to have pressure. Boxers are typically more comfortable, but still trying to support everything when active to avoid any swelling. Hopefully, this will be less of a concern in the future and will not cause any discomfort.

Sorry for this long update, but I hope someone might benefit from something here. I'd also welcome any comments or suggestions, particularly on tubing location (I could not find much on this in my search attempt). The information provided by this group has been very helpful to me throughout this process.

BP, glad to hear about your great update and that you are doing great. That's great that you were able to start having sex at 4 weeks, I didn't try till after I was released at 6 weeks, but I waited till the 8 week point because everything still hurt a lot. For me, even at 8 weeks it wasn't great sex because of the pain in the shaft and numbness and trying to figure out the right amount of pumps to put in for good sex, but things got better quickly as weeks went on.
On your tube issues, if I reach down I can definitely feel them, but they don't protrude and they don't interfere with sex, so I don't worry about them. I'm at 29 months out from surgery and it's been great, just like a normal dick except that I can tell him when to get erect. ;)
Hey, I'm a cyclist, if you're on Strava send me a PM. I'm connected with three other Frank Talk brothers that are on Strava.
I did have some issues with my saddle when I started cycling, but it soon went away as everything healed down there. I'm back to riding around 100 to 150 miles a week, but I have just got back on my bike from right knee total knee replacement 2 Jan 2024.
I use a ISM PL 1.1 40 saddle which is very comfortable for me and is considered to be a no nose saddle even though it has a nose. I haven't had to lower the nose of my saddle in the front.
I use Jockey Sport Bikini Briefs under my bibs to keep the boys in place. I don't have any problem with the pump, it finds its place and doesn't hurt or rub the boys.

Keep giving updates BP, and keep getting better,
S-Works

Good writeup sworks17, I also rails to trails with my wife and enjoy cycling, I had the Titan coloplast implanted 5yrs ago and it has failed, Dr. Thinks tubing failure. I have often thought about the bicycling causing this but nice to hear others are not having issues. I think a malleable may be worse for cycling as it is bent down or up as I hAve read here on FT.

I certainly hope the bike doesn't cause too much additional wear and tear for me, but it is my primary form of exercise. I plan to be careful as I get back into it and also make sure I have my bike fit dialed in to account for new components. Good luck with the revision.
