How much gain with revision?

Postby Steve5231 » Tue Mar 05, 2024 5:56 pm

I'm 15 months out from my initial implant surgery and couldn't be more pleased. But I do have one question... Is it possible to gain length and girth with a revision should I ever decide to have one?
75 years old. Was on Viagra and then Cialis but got fed up with the side effects. Switched to Tri-Mix 3 years ago but had increasingly reduce effect. Finally implanted 1/19/2023. Always looking for advice. Live in Illinois.

Most that I’ve read about that has had it for some time usually get 2cm more. Doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be 2cm longer than you were. It’s a long process to stretch the implants out.
58year old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!

The more I think about this the more I would imagine that any growth is related to the original size and the implanted size. Am I correct? In other words, maybe 2cm growth in length is to be expected if one had a 6” dick implanted originally but then a 1cm increase if you had a 5” dick implanted. Correct?

Uncertain.

I know no statistics on girth, sorry.

On length, it is highly unlikely (given a competent surgeon) any loss of length will occur. However penis length measured external may or may not increast EVEN IF A LONGER IMPLANT IS PLACED. This is because, even if a longer implant is placed, the cavity inside your penis may be larger than it was when the first implant was placed, thereby consuming some of the extra length of the new implant. This extra cavity may be at either end (distal at the glans or proximal in the pelvic crus) or both.

If you are concerned or just curious, measure carefully in a reproducible manner the day before surgery and after recovery and swelling has subsided. (Note: "the day before surgery" may be optimistic - if you need a revision, the most recent full inflation might have been weeks or months before revision surgery. So, it might be a good idea to measure once a month or so until you get the same mesurement many times in a row. Document it with photographs with dates.)

My surgeon told me I could expect a size increase with a revision if needed in the future. I think my size with the current implant my be slightly less than pre ED, but it is really close and no complaints. But I would not turn down even .5 cm more if I could get it ;)
