Dr. Kansas AMS LGX sizing explanation

Postby DeadlineDave » Thu Feb 01, 2024 9:21 pm

I had my 4-week followup today. I'm still swollen, but only on the right side and only a tennis ball as opposed to the cantaloupe I had before. He explained that there was more swelling on the right because that's where he "dissected" (his word) the scrotum for pump placement. I have no idea what that means, except when he was trying to move up the inflation bulb to get to the deflate button, it was on the lower right. Which is better than high up, I'm thinking.

Anyway, I asked why 18cm LGX and 4cm rear tip extenders. He said that he determined that he needed 22cm of length total. (I need it too, doc.) He could have done 21+1, but chose 18+4 because he said the 18cm LGX had better rigidity than the 21cm.

He aslo said that I had "good size" which is a pretty ambiguous statement, but was better than a stick in the eye.

I'm still 80% inflated....I thought he said less before.....but I go back in two weeks and he feels certain we'll be able to deflate and start cycling then althought he told me to go for it if I was able to before then.

I need his exuberance and good cheer today. A month with a half-assed boner in sweatpants for a month is/was getting old!

“He said the 18 cm had better rigidity than the 21 cm.”

This appears to be a nonsensical statement.

I’m a product of Dr. Kansas.

I had often wondered why 18+5.

Rigidity makes sense. One of the things Titan & CX owner/operators tell us guys with LGXs is how much more rigid their erections are.

The LGX is made to expand & contract as pumped and deflated. You can trade a bit of rigidity for a bit of length but you don’t want to give up too much.

I guess, in doing close to 1500 implants, Bryan Kansas has seen that the expansion capability of the 21 cm LGX makes it less rigid than the 18 cm model.

I think so. I head him in a video about using two thumbs at the end to get it super-rigid. I'm not worried about it for my uses.

I read these stories about the CX or Titan being more rigid, but I can't imagine any more rigidity being useful in any way. My LGX is like a tree trunk when pumped up. Well, maybe a tree limb.
Age 59. AMS 700 LGX 21cm + 2cm RTE.
Peniscrotal, 2/23.
6.25" OEM with Cialis, about 5" post-op. (11/01: Length 6.75" and girth is up to 4.75" mid shaft.) Still growing, albeit slowly. :D
Cycling daily. Hoping to get to 7". ;)

I’m perfectly happy with everything about my outcome except the girth. I give that a satisfactory. Everything else was outstanding (and, they are mild).

My only quandary is the apparent need to upsize an implant when you do wear the original one out. I’ll be looking at something in the 25-26 cm range most likely. Do I whine until Kansas agrees to give me a Titan? Do I let Kansas put in a CX? Do I drive to Houston and see Clavell? I can imagine the extra 3 hr drive on Percocet would make for an interesting road trip.

But in the meantime my goal is to enjoy every minute of this LGX. Kansas said beforehand, and I quote “I think you’ll be very pleased with the LGX.” That was something of an understatement.

And it would not be possible to get better service after the sale. Plus the hospital he used to do my procedure had a Chik-Fil-A nearby.

On further consideration, it stands to reason that an 18 cm column of X circumference will be more stable than a 21 cm column of the same girth.

Just an opinion. After having the LGX for a few years I bet that you've likely maxed out your tunica's capability. Get a CX. I've had a few minor issues with dog ears. Most of mine went away after a few months. I personally wouldn't trade up to worse dog ear problems.
YMMV, contents settle during shipping. Blah blah.
