Is the the NEW AMS pump available for use now? Or is it coming later? I'm scheduled to have my implant with Dr. Hakky on March 12. Getting the AMX 700 CX. Hoping the new pump will be available for him to use for me. What do you all KNOW about the timing of the availability of the NEW Tenacio AMS pump? Will Dr. Hakky have to like order it. Not sure how this works. Of course Ill send a message to Dr. Hakky for further advice. Thanks in advance for your imput. This site is and has been awesome for me as I prepare to go BIONIC!!!!!

I was told in August it was coming out last October by my surgeon , then when I saw him in early December he said it was approved to be used in the US and hospitals would be getting them beginning of the year so I scheduled a revision on the 23 of January. I went into surgery thinking I was getting the new pump but after the revision he told me the AMS rep told him for some reason that it wouldn’t be in hospitals for a couple months still. So who knows when it will come out, but I wouldn’t wait just for the new pump

I agree with this, I'd prefer not to be a beta tester for something in my scrotum.

I checked Boston Scientifics website last night and noticed that all the devices are now listed with the new pump and part numbers, including the pump as a standalone. Most likely unless the Dr specifically requests the device with the new pump, Boston Scientific is probably sending out units with the MS pump until all the old units sell through, then the new pumps will be all you can get. Working in retail that's usually how it goes, get rid of all the old stock before selling the new.

My dr requested the new pump specifically through the AMS rep and was told they are not sending them out yet , I agree though if they still have an inventory of the older pump they want to use those up first so they don’t get wasted.

How did everything go? Did you get an implant and the new pump?

I also would like to know if anyone has had the new pump installed. I did talk to a AMS rep last month and told me that only a select few were being allowed to use it in the USA.

I second your opinion, and if I am a surgeon, I won't try it on my patients until I am 100% sure that it has no defects. Mostly, it is not tested for 10 years. Might be only 2 or 3 years.
