Has anyone ever destroyed their penis through an implant?

Postby Never_Enough » Sun Jan 28, 2024 8:22 am

I ask because I am considering one due to severe psychological ED and chronjic pelvic pain.

I can achieve a decent erection alone, and a good one with cialis or Viagra but it's very unreliable with a partner.

I read often that if you can get a good erection at all then the implant is not the way, yet, but if not being to get a full lasting erection naturally is causing me so much stress isn't that a decent reason?

What someone wrote in the when to go bionic thread was that if it is worth losing what ability you have right now.

Obviously no it's not worth losing what i have now for the risk of losing it completely, but I was to believe this wouldn't happen?

I would only ever get it done with the absolute best surgeons so there is no danger of cutting corners.

I that respect my question is how often has someone's penis and sexual function been completely destroyed by an implant, particularly when using a top surgeon? As in the can never have sex again because of an implant.

Thanks

Have you had a Doppler test done? None of what you wrote rules out early stage venous leakage.
45yo, venous leak. Pills increased tinnitus (very rare). Using bimix+atropine, 0.2 of:
Atropine Sulfate: 52MCG/ML, Phentolamine MES: 0.9MG/ML, Papaverine HCL: 26MG/ML

No I haven't yet, i was planning to get one. I've always had this issue though even from a young age. Able to keep an erection alone but not with someone. If I struggled altogether I would have been more likely to do the doppler sooner. Urologist palpate the veins and arteries and didn't think I needed one. Although I know that is not the best method

I do have 2 kids so I managed it over the years but not reliably.

My concern with this comment is why would you want to go back.?

Is there a chance you might end up withb nothing working at all?

Any surgery of any type is a risk regardless ... could you end up "dickless" of course you could .. are the chances high that would happen? .. no not at all .. The ability to be able to have a sexual relationship without the stress and fear of ED for most of us is worth the risk of the surgery. You go to a good well know high volume implanter that is 1/2 your battle ... I had a malleable done one of the most simple of the implants .. 30 days later they thought I had an infection in it which is unusual in itself ... did emergency surgery cut him from ass hole to elbow looking for an infection that ended up never being there ... taking much longer to heal since he was extensively cut but the implant is intact and will be useable soon .. unusual but it can happen but the odds of a good outcome if you have an implant are in your favor if you stack the deck in your own favor .. The longer you have ED .. the older you get the more chance you will lose size both length and girth that may or may not be recovered .. if your considering doing an implant start using a VED daily to keep the tissue stretched out and the blood flowing into your penile tissue .. good luck

This is the thing on my own or when comfortabke I can get a full erection, it doesn't always last but it's there.. It's the mental issues that are causing issues and I don't have time to heal them yet.

I guess the question is if the risk is worth damaging what is essentially. A fairly. Healthy penis.

Well you could end up with a total or partial penectomy.

I've only come across two cases of total penectomies and both had advanced diabetes, but if you Google "glans ischemia" you will come across reports of numerous cases of the glans turning black and having to be removed.

The biggest reasons were diabetes, poor blood flow and multiple revisions
I was born in 1974. I've had venous leak ED since early 30's, but managed with pde5 inhibitors until mid 40's. I have fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is worldwide acknowledged expert Dr. Laurence Levine

So in a young healthy person, with a reasonably healthy penis on their first implant via a top surgeon this is unheard of?
