AMS and Peyronies

Postby ceekay87 » Tue Jan 02, 2024 5:26 pm

I have about a 30-35 degree upward curve when erect. My local uro says I have peyronies. I have had no pain or discomfort at all when erect or having sex. I am looking to implant this March and Dr. Hakky likes Titan for peyronies. I would prefer the AMS because of the natural flaccid look and quiet pump. Does the AMS fix peyronies? Because it isn't painful or uncomfortable, I don't even care about the curve. I just want a dick that works when/how I want it and looks natural when not in use. What say you?

Yes AMS can be used with peyronie's, but I think most would place a CX implant.

IMO ams is much more natural appearance but flaccid and inflated (I've had both).

An upward curve is no problem, you said yourself that you don't mind the curve. I'd go with AMS CX if I was in your shoes

Agree with all the other keyboard docs here, CX is the only option if you decide on AMS for flaccid (not LGX).

But having said that, you researched and chose your doc for a reason, if you're so inclined I'd give him the lions share of the deciding factor, AS LONG AS HE OFFERS BOTH MANUFACTURERS. Some only offer one or the other, and they will obviously push you in one direction. The Titan is a less expensive device than the AMS, which can increase bottom line to the surgeon.

I had a noticeable curve to the left when erect, probably 20-30 degrees.
It was never diagnosed as PD, never painful, and never interfered with sex.
I have the AMS LGX, and it almost completely eliminated the curve. It might be 5 degrees now.
I suspect any properly installed implant would help, with the CX or Titan probably being most effective in that respect, though they do have other compromises.

I had PD and the Titan knocked it out.
Dr Hakky told me he preferred the Titan for PD and I trusted him.
This weekend I was in a bar that had a trough urinal, prior to implantation I would never use those as I was a grower, I whipped it out and let the fluid flow no issues.
Im happy with the outcome.

I am in the same boat, but have the hourglass deformation as opposed to a curve. My doc seems confident the ams cx would work best for me. I wonder if anyone else has had good result: with the hourglass being resolved after getting the cx implanted?

If you already selected your surgeon, you'd better listen to him and accept his implant model choice. If your surgeon implanted you with the model that he doesn't recommend and something goes wrong in the future, then part of the blame will be on you.
PD progresses and in some cases it doesn't straighten up completely or may force returning. Although some people have LGX installed and good, I still think it is not the perfect choice for PD, but CX will be find if your length is moderate.
Dr. Hakky mostly does Titan implants, and he also participates in the development of new Titan model researches. This also means he is very good at installing it. Eid as well.
