Sizing techniques

Postby ruwansilva25 » Thu Dec 07, 2023 10:26 am

For guys who have had implants done…

How does the doctor get your implant size correct? and how far behind the pubic bone does this implant go?

Are there any tips to not lose length/girth especially for guys who have not gone into full ED?
40 YO. Been on pills since late 20s. Pills now starting to not work. Might be vein leak. Dont want injections. Hoping to get checked out next month for implant.

Other guys will be able to give you a more technically detailed explanation.

But, basically, the doctor pushes a measuring tool inside your dick once he or she has opened it up during the operation.

I don't know about the implant going behind the pubic bone.

My impression is that guys who go to experienced, skillful surgeons are happy with their sizes.

I don't have recommendations for not losing size. I was at the point where I hadn't been able to either achieve or maintain a good hard on for years. But my implanted dick is the same size as it was before ED.

Mine as well no issues on loss of size at all. My wife is a lot happier with the increased girth.

as much as you may not want to, I suggest you watch an implant surgery on youtube. Your question about sizing will be answered.

+1 to Jage64 recommendation to watch a video of an actual implant surgery. Maybe we should create a post with some of these videos - if you are considering an implant the video is informative.

It is worth learning how a surgeon will properly measure for an implant - but really you are not going to be doing this yourself.
For how to maintain size during an implant, I'll quote an earlier recommendation.
" there are three things you should do to maintain size during an implant.
1. Pick the right surgeon
2. Pick the right surgeon
and 3. Pick the right surgeon."
The right surgeon will measure properly to give you the best length. Good surgeons will give your the same length after the implant that you had right before. And they will give you the right instructions before the surgery.

To your question: "how far behind the pubic bone does this implant go?"
The basic assumption is the the inside part is about 1/3 of your total size (if your 'outside' size is 14cm - then your inside size is 7cm or 1/3 of your total size). Truth is, this is biology so the surgeon doesn't precisely know until you're opened up. In reality, the inside part is something between 5cm to 10cm.

To your question: "Are there any tips to not lose length/girth especially for guys who have not gone into full ED?"
1. You should use a VED. This is the first recommendation from many urologist. This helps both bring blood into your penis and helps stretch it out. I've heard some urologist recommend this for all men as they get older.
2. You should consider taking a low dosage of tadalafil (the daily PDE5 ED drug). Basically, this mitigates your ED to improve your nighttime (and daytime) erections; getting an occasional hardon is heathy for your manhood. You'll need to talk with a urologist to get a prescription. I recommend that you actually talk with a urologist rather than getting a quick prescription online or with your GP.
3. You can use traction to maintain your size - I recommend that RestoreX. Not sure how important this is for you if you don't have Peyronie's. But it doesn't hurt. My urologist suggests that once or twice a week is good for basic health - but you need to use it daily to restore lost length.
4. Most importantly, if you have ED, talk with a urologist. A good urologist is extremely frank about the whole conversation and really understands. This is their job.

Hope this helps.
