Old malleable……

Postby strunza501 » Wed Sep 06, 2023 4:19 pm

Had a malleable implant installed in 1989. Big mistake. Can’t have revision because long term diabetes and A1C is high. Lost all feeling in penis due to end stage diabetic neuropathy. Complete loss of feeling with a malfunctioned malleable implanted penis. I’m going thru morbid times. Doctor Rusilko in Pittsburgh doesn’t want anything to do with revisions. Cause of high risk. Going to my grave with no feeling at all along with broken implant. Counseling isn’t helping either.

Is your a1c that high they won't consider surgery? I just had one done last June .. 11 heart caths ...5 heart stents .. 2 strokes ..a1c about 7.5 .... about 15 meds a day ... the malleable implants have come a long way since 1989 .. mine will bend 135% ... lifetime warranty ... you may need to explore another dr.

A1C stays above 8’s. Lost all feeling. If he removes without reimplanting, then tissue will shrivel up to nothing inside. I can’t go thru a revision since total loss of feeling. I’ve gotten 2 urologists that told me same thing. I’m stuck. No insurance either.

Hey feeling sorry for your condition.
Can you please tell this society about your complete journey?
1-Have you done only one malleable implant throughout your life? There was no revesion?

2- From 1989 to 2023 ( almost 34 years ) How was your sex life with malleable? Have you enjoyed your sex life with malleable??

3- The main drawback of malleable implant is erosion. As you have spent 34 years with malleable and its a quite long time without revesion. How you manage the risk of erosion? Can you guide the community?

4- Please tell us your complete journey of malleable implant. Are you satisfied from the sex life you had with malleable.

I was very young and stupid. Went to a local urologist and first tried yohimbe , that didn’t work, then tried injections, didn’t work also. Single at the time so didn’t know what to do. Went for the malleable at age 23 and since being a diabetic, I had pain for 4 years there. The concealment was aweful. The doctor that did the surgery was new to this and no experience with surgery of both types of implant. The device became damaged abt 5 yrs after surgery because I was very young and active lifestyle, riding a bike was very tough, and regular walking was very tough because of concealment and pain. I lived with no revisions and now device is totally damaged and no feeling there. Think abt your plan before you do ANY surgery cause you can’t go back. Look into future and ask yourself what will u have to do in the future. It’s your body.

What do you mean that it's damaged? Does it not bend anymore?
Early 30s with ED for years from penis enlargement stretching and jelqing. Implant by Dr Eid on 24 June 2021 with a Titan 24cm with +1cm RTE on one side and -1cm cut off on the other side

No internet back then. No research. And a doctor with hardly any experience. I was young and stupid.
