I am diabetic, my a1c was as high as 12 once and I started the shots, they checked what the pancreas was putting out and it was nothing, the doctors talked me into a pump a year ago, last month a1c was 7.5, try a insulin pump to get your sugar down and find a endocrinologist. Now about implants, I have the titan currently put in 2019, it has lasted 5 yrs, almost to the month and has failed so I need a revision and malleable sound like the way to go for me, I am 63 so if I can get 10-15 yrs out of it than it has served it's purpose. Good luck and hope you find a answer.

I doubt that logic works with his type 1. Maybe it would show result with type 2 but it will likely not solve his diabetes for long. Diabetes is like ED, its progressive. Once you start it just keeps getting worse. You can interrupt the progression but you can't really reverse it by very much.
