After dealing with injections for 20 years there are absolutely no cons for me.If O had known then what I know now, I would have had an implant 20 years ago!
Radical prostatectomy in 2002. Used injections for 20 years. Implanted (infrapubic) with AMS 700 on February 10, 2023.

That is a great insight!

This sounds like a great experience. wanted to ask you, did you do penoscrotal or infrapubic surgery? do you know if the reservoir was placed in the retzius space?

Did you have a catheter in your penis when you went home?

thanks!

Dr. Clavell does penoscrotal. I never heard the term " retzius space " so I don't know the answer to that . I can tell you that after I started cycling it felt like the reservoir was just below my belly button to the right. No catheter. After surgery they won't release you until you pee . I was able to pee immediately after they woke me up .

Thank you! Does it mean you can feel your reservoir somehow? Different doctors put the reservoir in different places.

I can feel and see mine. It's a small bump in my lower abdomen.

I haven't actually tried to locate it with my fingers I just know where it is from the slight discomfort I felt from the first times cycling. In everyday life its non existent to me . I cannot feel it inside me which is great and what I was hoping for .

Almost everything I read is consistent with my experience.  I had radiation 19 years ago for prostate cancer, I  did remarkably well for 15 years, 20mg dose of viagra for confidence from 5-12 years out, tried injection and hated that, up'd the viagra, Then rapid ED for 5 years, then VED, hated that.   1" loss in length in 19 years, mostly atrophy in the last years.  I'm not  concerned with length, I want it to be reliable and it is.  I wanted my self-esteem and it's there.  It's all good.

Cons:

I would say the con, that nobody here mentions, is that I'm never flaccid, there's stuff in there, the tips near the end of penis, they're hard and I'm frequently aware of them.  Not pain, awkward discomfort.   I was sized very well.  I was a grower, so it all makes sense, not a big package to put in the cylinders.  The reservoir is a bit annoying in tight pants.  Oh well . . .    We (all of us) are doing this for the erection but we forget that a soft flaccid dick is actually a nice thing when you want to hug, dance, hike, walk down the street, walk naked (in your house) etc.

I wouldn't go back, I'm just saying that's my one con.

A rock hard erection anytime, for as long as I want.  And she wants.  Can't beat that.

I understand where you're coming from AW . When I first started cycling and deflating and still had a big flaccid dick, I was like "WTF am I gonna do with that !" There's no way to really hide it because essentially, as implanted men, our " flaccid penis " is really just a soft erection. There's no real shrinkage and retraction . This wasn't something I wasn't use to dealing with. I remember when I was younger, putting on pair of jeans and thinking, " Where is my dick ? Got to fluff that fucker up before I go out to get somewhat of a bulge ." Well bulges aren't a problem anymore and I've embraced the " big dick " lifestyle. I really don't care what people think . Am I supposed to be ashamed of a part of my anatomy!? Fuck no ! Women flaunt their breasts in public all the time ! Breast implants , push-up bra's, low V cut blouses, cleavage everywhere, some even wear shirts you can just kinda see through..... So I put the enhanced flaccid in the " pro " category. I love it . I was at a bar with the wife and I caught 2 women peaking and whispering while looking in the direction of my cock . Now I don't know what they were saying, maybe I imagined it but it my head I was like .... " Yeah , you like that big dick don't ya " I just feel good about myself again , the direction my life is heading. I'm happy again and I'm not gonna apologize to anyone for that !

There are many men that use PDE5 pills or Trimix for as long as they're sexual and it doesn't fail if they treat the underlying reasons of the ED. It seems a lot of people don't treat the actual issues and their ED worsens and they say the treatments are failing them. But other wise the cons on those two treatments are very accurate.

Cons
Don’t wake up
Infection

Pros
I’ve fucked over 2 dozen women since implanted in December with no tri-mix. The only ones who have known are the ones who I’ve told. Well a couple repeats who wanted to try it out again but that’s part of the “plan”

I fucked a 29 year old yesterday 6 x (I’m 51).

If you need it get it.

Find the best surgeon for you.

Be at peace with your decision.

Live your life until your day. Stop giving yourself anxiety.

Be free.

On your day put your faith in your surgeon and whatever god you believe or don’t believe in and move on.

I beg to differ with you. Pills only worked for me for a short time. I never did injections.
I started with high blood pressure. Getting it under control took several different approaches. I had bad reactions to several of the drug classes that were tried. My current & very successful drug causes nightmares. Just got to live with it.
Then it was high triglycerides. Treated & very well controlled.
Finally type 2 diabetes. After treatment started it took around a year to get under control. My A1C is now well below the level to be considered "controlled ".
ED still struck despite regular medical care. All issues were successfully treated.
I disagree with your final statement about worsening ED. It seems to me that ED has its own path. Early on, I took every drug bottle that I was taking to my dr. I said which ones cause Ed & lets try some different ones. He read each one & said yup this will cause ED. So there I was every ailment that I had which could cause Ed. The treatment of that ailment also could cause ED. I chose the meds so my life would continue. When ED became unbearable I got an implant. Wish I would of got an implant 10 years earlier.
Btw, how do you feel about prostate cancer survivors? They cured their diasease but got ED in return.

Cons: expensive
Risk of infection
Having plastic parts put in your body
Possible smaller dick
Future revisions
Girl finding out you don’t have a natural penis
Recovery sucks
Pros : working dick
Last all night whenever you want
Mental health boost
Possible bigger girth
Look better in a Speedo with enhanced flaccid state

After listing all of these out the pros and cons I still say the pros outweigh the cons in my opinion. Nothing is worse than romancing a woman back to your place and having your little guy not come out and enjoy the party.
