Can shaving pose a risk of cutting the cylinders?

Just wondering if like nicks and small cuts during shaving might effect the cylinders? Any thoughts?

Not a chance, unless you’re using a hunting knife to shave. :ugeek:

I am afraid of skin wounds that might cause an infection. I think this is the only concern.

I'd wait a few months before shaving, just so the infection risk is lowered.

I used to shave regularly, and did so right before my surgery.
This turned out to be a huge mistake. In the days and weeks following, the growing stubble on my very swollen and hypersensitive scrotum was extremely irritating. It felt like I had a cactus in my pants every time the scrotum skin brushed anything, pants, leg, itself.

I've trimmed a few times with beard clippers since, but I'm waiting a few months before shaving again. ;)
Age 59. AMS 700 LGX 21cm + 2cm RTE.
Peniscrotal, 2/23.
6.25" OEM with Cialis, about 5" post-op. (11/01: Length 6.75" and girth is up to 4.75" mid shaft.) Still growing, albeit slowly. :D
Cycling daily. Hoping to get to 7". ;)

I have been shaving my scrotum, perineum and the shaft of my penis for years. However, my doctor made me quit 3 or 4 weeks before surgery, saying they would shave me in the OR. He didn't want me showing up for surgery with any nicks or abrasions which would increase the chance of infection. As soon as my incision healed completely, right back to shaving.

Implanted 2/18/21, AMS CX, 18 CM + 3 RTE, penoscrotal. Have gained 3/4". Gay, married, age 68.

Same here. Stopped shaving a month before surgery for tge same reason. Reduce infection risk. Now at 5 months postop i regularly shave every part that you mentioned. No problems whatsoever.
