Titan genesis pump deflate

Postby Witheringhog » Tue May 16, 2023 8:38 am

Did anyone have trouble learning how to deflate your genesis pump, i searched the forum and found plenty of info on the other pumps, just not much on mine.

I am 49, strong and was college level athletic in my 20s, still not bad at things at 50. I say that to say this, I tried and couldn’t get the valve to open, tried left and right hand, tried both together, nothing. I was putting enough pressure to break my tv remote, tried squeezing my shaft at the same time, tried holding it for 30 seconds and every combination of the like. WTF, this seems like a shit design, if i cant do it with zero hand issues, how in the hell would 70s plus handle this.

Now, i am not fully erect, maybe when fully pumped up the valve function could change? Whats the trick with the Titan genesis pump?

I am not supposed to deflate for another 4 weeks, just can feel everything so well I wanted to see how it worked. I will talk to the doc at my next appointment, and remain patient… but still, wtf.

I have a genesis also and it was a little difficult at first for me. I used my thumb right at the corner just below the cutical of my nail against the side of my first buckle on my index finger. Focus on the center of the button on both sides. I’ve never been sure if this pump only releases on one side or the other but I pinch both sides evenly and on center. After a few months it gets very easy to mash the button. Not sure if this is all from it breaking in and getting easier or me learning exactly how to apply pressure to the perfect spot. I was allowed by my Dr to start gently pumping a few pumps and deflating at about 13 days. Had sex around 21 days. Was a little painful but was worth it.

Genesis here also.

I have tried switching hands and that has worked but every once and a while I find I can't deflate. What I have found if I am squeezing both buttons and it is not deflating, I release for 1 second then push both buttons again. Always works then.

Not the amount of pressure but rather need to get the release valve triggered.

OK, interesting, did you guys do it in a hot bath? That seems to be the common recommendation. Makes sense that it needs broke in, I thought maybe it could be what ever healing is taking place is in the way till I break it loose.

Hog, don’t break your brand new Bionic Dick!

Patients you must have my Young Padawan!

I don’t have a Coloplast Titan, but I got an instructional video disc from Boston Scientefic for the AMS 700 and I had direct contact with Boston Scientefic patient coordinator and they would give me Patient Champions who us new guys could talk to about problems, if we had any.

I used both Boston Scientefic and Frank Talk for help.

Not sure what help Coloplast gives.

Good Luck

Hi. I have the genesis pump also . Have found that if I hold the pump bulb between my thumb and first finger then roll my fingers toward the valve that I get good coverage over the bar (top and bottom) Then apply even squeeze pressure. The valve actuated and deflation is smooth and rapid. Takes some practice but works every time
ED for number of years. Used pills and Quadmix. Venous leakage too much to overcome. IPP is only solution to my issue. Really glad I found and started to use resources of site.

Yes, the deflate button is quite small and hard to feel. If you aren't supposed to deflate for 4 more weeks, I'd leave it alone. Don't want to break it before you get to use it!
Took me twice going to doc with an erection to get deflated before I learned the technique. The button on mine is on the side of the hard block (pump) just above the bulb. I squeeze it between my thumb and fingers, thumb on the button. Holding the button down use my other hand to squeeze my shaft. It takes 30-45 seconds to deflate, moving my squeezing hand down the shaft. I use a layer of towel over my shaft to make it a bit more comfortable.
Good luck.

I've got a Titan Touch. It took me six weeks before I got the hang of deflation. My biggest mistake was, before surgery not holding the Coloplast unit in my hands and then manually inflating and deflating the unit.
Venous Leakage (which I believe caused by my overuse of the Bathmate VED)

Not sure why, but i was able to deflate no problem today. 1/4 to 1/3 of the pressure, just worked… must have been swelling?? No clue, guess the design in my mind went from super sucky to amazing. Pumped up a few times and each time zero issues with deflation.

Felt so good having a strong erection, so worth it going through all this, can’t wait to go balls deep. Thinking i need at least another week for sex.

I agree it difficult to master the deflate. The AMS 700 was much easier. I found when I cycling, the more I inflated, the harder it is to activate the deflate button.
