probable infrapubic damage

Postby frank66665 » Mon Apr 10, 2023 3:27 pm

today 11 weeks after the surgery, the idea is starting to mature that during the operation the doctor caused me some nerve damage, did anyone here infrapubic at 11 weeks have difficulty reaching orgasm? not to mention that at 30/35 minutes when I fuck the shaft the shaft starts to hurt, while the glans becomes numb to the point that it is useless to continue, during the day the glans is numb and deflates at maximum inflation, there are infrapubic boys here who can say that it happened and that it will pass? or that it won't go away?, I knew that the healing of the infrapubic was much faster and it also affected my choice of procedure

I had Infra AND penscrotal (long story). My anorgasmia was worse but getting better now 8 months out. 11 weeks is not enough time to tell OR freak out :D

Frank:

I told you early on that I thought your doc may have messed up when you 1st started complaining about the pain and other problems you were having postOP.

I suggested then that you get a 2nd opinion about the problems which your doc was dismissing as "normal" or something that would resolve itself in time.

Never sounded normal or something that would fix itself to me but AFAIK you never got a 2nd opinion and decided to stick w/your doc because he's considered 1 of the best in Italy and you still had faith in him.

Are you ready to get a 2nd opinion now?

If so, I still think you should do so ASAP.. It won't fix the problem but you'll get an independent assessment of what another doc thinks it i and whether it can be fixed or not.

FWIW, your doc may not be honest w/you in assessing the problem because he as a stake in NOT admitting to any mistakes made to protect his reputation and to keep his malpractice insurance premiums low.

None of us here can tell you what the problem is.

Only another implant doc with the proper training and experience can do this and, again, I strongly suggest that you consult another doc ASAP to get the problem properly diagnosed and fixed.

This opinion would also form the basis for a malpractice suit if it can be proven that a mistake of his caused it, which would allow you a way to recover the cost of an subsequent surgeries and legal fees.

Good luck!!!

infrapubic has a very slight increased risk of nerve damage over penoscrotal, although reports of it are seemingly rare.

I agree with sswinsfba, it's probably time for you to see someone else for a 2nd opinion. Your posts here on FT are nothing but troubling, it can't be good for your emotional health to have all this worry and uncertainty. From what I've read MANY men have infrapubic surgery without the issues you're enduring. A few of the top surgeons in the US will only do infrapubic installations for reasons that make sense to them. If the risks were much higher than penoscrotal they wouldn't do them. I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that infrapubic is the cause.

When a doctor is rooting around down there with fingers, instruments, scalpels, needles and ultimately foreign objects, there's always a risk that things don't go well.

I wonder how much more common reports of nerve damage would be if nobody was circumcised, as the majority of men here are circumcised and they are used to the numbness they have had their whole lives. They don't know what they are missing.

Frank is not circumcised so he knows what real sensitivity is.

there are no competent doctors in Italy, he is the best and teaches infrapubic to all Italian and European doctors, if I went to a penoscrotal what could he tell me or do to me? if I go to an infrapubic in Italy who does 5/10 implants a year who, moreover, was taught by him, he wouldn't go against him, what kind of exams could reveal the problem, there is something oppressing, I feel the excitement during sex and masturbation but then the strong discomfort takes over that kills the pleasure and the orgasm

before I could reach orgasm even in 3/5 minutes if I didn't manage the fuck well, I even used retardant sprays and sometimes dapoxetine to last 20/25 minutes, together with vardenafil or viagra

I don’t believe that 11 weeks is all that unusual. People heal at different rates. I’ve seen a couple of posters say it took them several months. Probably not real common but also not unheard of.
