Insurance denied, but dream (only) deferred

Postby Shootanoogah » Sat Mar 18, 2023 7:54 pm

I got this dreaful call from the surgeon's office that my employer provided insurance has flattely denied my request. In all honesty, I was just hoping for a miracle because they clearly stated that they DO NOT COVER IPP.

I will just continue Trimixing, envying these lucky brothers and hoping for UMR to come to their Jesus moment ( bad pun I know), all that, while lurking on this forum whenever I have a minute to spare :D
60 y/o. Sudden ED at 54. Pills and Acoustic Wave Therapy unsuccessful. Trimix (PAP 30/PH:05 / PRG 10) working at 5-7 units . LOOKING FOR AFFORDABLE WAYS TO GO BIONIC. Direct Message me of any affordable IMPLANT SOLUTIONS.

I have BCBS of Illinois and Dr office told me they wouldn’t cover it. I personally called them and over about a 2 hour call was told that they did. Got Dr office to run thru their system with the proper codes that had something to do with nothing else working and it went thru with no issues. There are some that you might write them a letter and could possibly do some good. Others simply will not

Once you’re on Medicare or a Medicare Advantage plan.l, yiu should be fully covered. Looks like my total out if pocket is going to be right at $1,000.00, and 90% is the hospital portion.

Man. I hear you. My employee sponsored insurance also is UMR. Flatly denied the initial and the appeal. Been paying the premiums for years, now this. Heck, Affordable Care Act covers it, but not UMR. I’m 63 1/2. Could have waited another 1 1/2 year for Medicare, but wasn’t willing to put my sex life on hold for that.

I ended up just paying out of pocket. Make it a goal, save what you can, a loan if your so inclined. Whatever, i wish you the best.
Active, athletic 63 years old. Sexually, still 33 in my mind and spirit. Pills and injections all worked, until they didn’t. Diagnosed with veinous leakage in 2022. Coloplast Titan. 22 CM. No RTE. Peno-scrotal. Implanted 1/4/23. Dr. Clavell.
