Post Op Cycling Appointment Today

Postby Elfoose78 » Wed Mar 15, 2023 2:38 pm

I had my post op (6 weeks) cycling appointment today. I have been fully deflated since one week after surgery. As such I expected some level of discomfort in inflating for the first time. I was not disappointed. LOL. The surgeon showed me how to inflate and deflate. Like others have shared, it will take some getting used to. The pump was easy enough to find along with the release valve.

I was able to get a few pumps in before the bulb became impossible to press. I fully expected this to occur as have learned from everyone’s shared experience on this forum. The bulb kept slipping through my fingers but I’m sure that will become less of an issue as time passes.

Overall I’m glad to be at this point of my journey. I’m going to cycle tonight to begin the process of becoming acclimated to inflating and deflating. Looking forward to feeling the stretch and working through the process. Im going to take it for a spin next month with my gf. Although I would like for it to happen sooner I’d rather wait and cycle daily to get used to the process and allow some of the discomfort to alleviate. But yes, I’m definitely ready to give this implant a workout next month.

Congrats! Cycling is...uncomfortable...but at the same time it's such a good rewarding feeling. You can just tell with each cycle your penis is regaining some of what was lost and soon enough will be put through it's paces. I think we are about the same age, many more years of fun with our new toys :)

I was left 60% inflated for 6 weeks and going about my day with that chub was driving me crazy.

When the big first-cycle day came i was really apprehensive. Not my custom to sit in a hot bath for an hour but there i was. Doc said to deflate first. Was SUCH a relief, figuratively and literally, to feel my dick deflate. Not to mention the novel experience of squeezing my dick to get flaccid. When the first pump up occurred immediately after, i was sweating, on my knees in the tub, the bulb slipping out from my fingers like a short-range projectile.

Found the sweet spot on the bulb, and we’re off to the races!

I’m now 9 weeks postop and have gave vigorous sex (each session inserted at least an hour) for the past 3 days. There’s still some residual numbness in scrotum and lower shaft, but that has not been a problem. I expect to cum faster when i gain full sensitivity.

It’s different, kind of like getting broken into the “new me” both mind and body. But let me tell ‘ya, her squeals and moans of delight are priceless.

Hang in there my friend. It’s worth it.

and as all say, the pumping gets easier. I even sneaked in a few pumps when i was riding her doggie style. although i’m not hiding the fact of the implant b

I’m definitely going to cycle once in the morning and once in the event. Tonight should be fun being the first time. But you’re definitely right, the process will definitely be worth it.

I have been following your posts and I have to say they have been insightful. Right now I’m finding the bulb being the biggest adjustment. Looking forward to it becoming easier over time.

Yeah. The bulb was tricky first few times. How hard to pump? Slippery… The unfamiliar feeling of reaching rather ungracefully hands low between your nut sack. All that.

I have found that my bulb does not squeeze equal volume from just any angle of squeeze. In fact, my first attempt alarmed me because nothing happened. Then, by placing my thumb pad onto a different bulb position, voila!

You will soon get very familiar with hand position to maximize bulb pressure and prevent the ballistic bulb phenomena. I’m sure we all get that. Bulb softens. I can put in probably 10 pumps 1 handed now, but then must finish with two hands.

Good luck with all!

You and I were implanted on the same day, my 6 week cycling appointment is tomorrow. Like you I was partially inflated until my 2 week post op. I had terrible pain in my scrotum for over 10 days, eventually that subsided, and the swelling in my scrotum is gone. I can feel the relief valve and am curious as to how hard it is to inflate the ball. My ball feels rock hard right now, and I’m wondering if I’ll be able to squeeze it. Hope it goes well and congratulations

Congratulations!!!

Yes, the first time deflating and inflating was the worst. My doctor didn't give me device training, a male nurse in the Urology Clinic gave me the training. I'm retired Air Force, so at military hospitals you don't get as much one on one with the main doctor not unless it's something that is important.

So my implant was left partially inflated from the surgery, I had a semi boner for 6 weeks. It hurt like heck when he pushed the deflate button, then he asked me to pump it up as many times that I could, I think I got about 5 pumps before it became to painful, then he had me deflate it again.

My doc wanted me to inflate it to the max I could twice a day for 10 minutes. This is to make sure that you stretch the tissue before the surgical capsule is formed after a few months.

I know you are excited about having sex with your new toy and I was too, but don't get discouraged if it doesn't work out well the first time. It was awkward having to pump it up to a decent level for penetrative sex. But it really wasn't hard enough and I had trouble finding her vaginal opening, and on top of that it started hurting pretty quick during sex and it hurt a lot after sex. I was so disappointed that it didn't go well the first time.

It wasn't until about the 4th or 6th month that we were able to have enjoyable un-awkward sex, by that time I could pump it up to 50 or 60 pumps with a rock solid boner and with very little discomfort during sex.

So now that I'm 16 months out from surgery, we don't have any problems at all. I usually pump it up before we have sex so that I'm ready to go and she doesn't have to wait, even if we are in foreplay also.

Keep doing the cycle training and keep practicing with your new toy, it gets better every day. We all heal different and have different pain levels our bodies can tolerate.

Keep us updated and Good Luck!

P.S. It would be helpful if we knew your age on your profile signature.

Thanks
