I'll be 4 weeks post on Wednesday, and I've been able to find my pump and all the parts and pieces very easily since day 2 when I took the wrap off. It's been tempting me for 4 weeks to push or squeeze something, but I'm being strong and waiting until told to do so.
Agree with Jage. I didn’t dare even touch anything until 1 month out. Then i finally started to feel around a bit, was pleased it didn’t hurt to touch it, and though i could feel all the pump parts. It was an accurate assessment. Didn’t start my first cycle until 6 weeks out.
All that slipping out of your fingers you describe, the “ballistic neighbor”, gets better in a very short time as you figure out the perfect grip. Then it’s muscle memory. I can get it started now with one hand quickly (not a first. Was 2 handed then). Bulb softens pretty quick. I can get 15 good pumps in one handed then switch to two to finish.
I also think that walking, a lot, is good for keeping the scrotum moving. The more it moves, the more the pump is moving with the various pressures. I started with a mile on week for snd by week 6 was at 3 mikes daily…. and with a 60% inflated chub to boot. On cycling day 1 everything was in order and good to go.
You hang in there amigo. You’re still early.
