Does erection angle with a prosthesis look normal?

Postby Hillywilly » Thu Feb 23, 2023 1:09 pm

I think I saw a video of a guy with a penile prosthesis and the erection seemed to point straight ahead instead of toward the belly like a natural erection. Have guys with an implant found this to be the case?

Pretty much yes, although the diamond hard belly pointer hadn't been seen in my household for a couple decades.

I think most folks at a certain age are more of the 90 degree variety even without significant ED.

A dick pointing at 3 o'clock seems to be the standard post op position from the videos I've seen.

For me, 30 days post op, it's pointing closer to 3:15 but I really don't think it matters because whenever I''ve f*cked in the past, I or the women involved placed it in the proper direction for insertion. 8-)

I asked my doc about this, if there’s anything that can be done to ensure an upward angle. He said most of that is determined by your physiology and not the implant.

From what I’ve read and been told, you can affect the angle and left/right negatively if you don’t give the capsules time form properly. This is why you cycle, to make sure the capsule forms correctly. Guys that don’t cycle and just stuff it back in their pants like the old days run the risk of the capsule forming bent and with a lower angle.

Mine points straight out to 3 o'clock. With a belly suck in maybe it'll hit 3:30!
As far as affecting the right/left angle, I think the info you read is not accurate. After my implant my surgeon never mentioned anything about cycling. His words were "Go use it". I had not found FT yet to even know there was such a thing. I was 5 months post implant when I did find FT and started cycling. Prior to that I only inflated for sex, although that happened often from 6 weeks forward. I have no bend in my cylinders.

Haha I never in my wildest dreams could have imagined an erection pointing higher than 90 degrees prior to implant, I’m content with the ~90 degrees I’ve got now with the coloplast

As mentioned in earlier post the proximal( part of dick inside you) is what you have. It can’t be changed. You should have at least the same angle you had the last hard erection pre implant. Could possibly be a little higher simply because there is very little flex in a pumped up implant. It will continue straight out from the proximal part of your sick. Nothing can be done about this.
58year old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!
