Walking is your best friend. Obviously, in moderation, but if you stay off your back as much as you can and take a stroll here and there, extending the distance from the previous day, you will notice a significant reduction in recovery time. Welcome to the club, best decision I have made for myself. This is freaking awesome. Will be 1 year anniversary next week for me, I couldn't be happier.

Yes, exactly. As Dr. Clavell’s was measuring up into my glans, he couldn’t get the rod up into my glans on the left side. He tried smaller dilators to get through, but couldn’t. So he cut just under the corona to remove the scar tissue, then was able to match the cylinder length on both sides.

I’ve never had an injury there, I’m not circumcised so it wasn’t a slip of the knife 58 yes ago, I’ve never injected anything into my penis, just a weird anomaly that he addressed on the fly.

I’m SO HAPPY, I chose a high volume doctor like Dr. Clavell. He mentioned that many docs might have just left the one side shorter and hope for the best, they may not be comfortable with that procedure or not willing to take the surgery time to perform it. I can almost guarantee the the Kaiser doc I met with would not have done that. He did not exude confidence and competence like Dr. Clavell does.

I’ve been on my back with ice since the surgery, getting up every couple of hours and walking the hotel hall, but tomorrow early morning we fly home to CA and plan on getting out every day and get the steps in.

Thanks for the encouragement!

And a general update: no pain at all, just a little uncomfortable at the crus where the RTEs are, but I can find a position where I don’t feel them. So far I’ve had 4 Tylenol.

Wrap comes off tomorrow in the shower prior to heading to the airport for the 4 hour flight home. Hopefully this nerve block is still in play for that.

General anesthesia, no catheter, no drain. TBH I was prepared to be disappointed with the sizing out of surgery, but I’m pleasantly surprised. If it’s all better/longer from here with some effort, I’m a very happy man.

My follow up is in 6 weeks, I assume if all goes well it’ll be green light time. ;)

Six weeks is when many surgeons give the green light. If you heal up quick you'll probably be wishing that six week mark is the next day!
