why dont guys who have (ed) just get an penile implant?

like so many i hear women that complain about (ed) or getting scared or creating stories

those guys who have it just jump into a relationship fully knowing probably they have (ed)?

whats going inside their heads?

The surgery sounds daunting, and most of us tried everything under the sun before opting for the implant. For many, pills, injections and/or VED provided some degree of erectile control, but eventually all of these become ineffective (except perhaps for the VED, which few consider to be a viable solution long term). For most, the journey to the implant lasts for years but ultimately ends in success.

I read a publication that reported nearly 1/2 of men with ED tell no one. Not a doctor or spouse or anyone. Women have troubles also and so after menopause many have little or no interest in sex. So why go to the trouble if you are staying in a sex less marriage. Even dating it is not that difficult to find older women who want a sexless relationship. Shame and embarrassment and fear all have a hand in this. Implant surgery is not perfect. It just beats ED and that is not difficult to do. And surgery is never on a list of fun things to do. Cost as many insurance companies avoid paying for the device and surgery like the plague. Even with insurance there can be thousands in cost. Fear of being discovered by friends and coworkers.

Probably some more I have not mentioned. Thing is this is difficult for many men, and we should be here to understand that. Many of us did have a difficult time with the choice.

Agree with guys above — I identify most with dg. It’s easy now to think why didn’t I just do this a long time ago… Easy to forget how I once felt it to be an extreme measure I would never need to take. I had to first reach a sufficient desperation level for this once felt to be an extreme action to make sense to me and to want to tackle the enormity of the decision and all that went with it: getting the wife on board, picking a surgeon, travel away, shielding it from others, financial issues including insurance coverage, when to do it — and many more issues and sub issues…
Can’t just be put on a list of things to do today, such as get a refill on ED meds or order more Trimix…
So for me I had to first become desperate enough to see it as the only way out of my predicament before I took the big step. And now I am a happy camper who has finally become stabilized with a solution to my ED.

Because for some pills and or injections work and they are a lot less invasive.

If you don’t have Medicare or if you have crappy insurance it could cost $20k to $30k cash. Which a lot of guys don’t have that kind of cash sitting around to spend on their dick.

The lifespan of implants are kind of iffy and if you are young or middle aged you will most likely need further surgery to replace it some day.
