Nervous

Postby Exspecto » Fri Feb 03, 2023 6:29 pm

Hi all

I'm based in the UK and am due for surgery on 7 February. I've suffered from ED for about 10 years with oral medication suddenly stopping working a few years ago, only months into a new relationship. So I'm under the knife with Professor Ralph in London who I think had a good reputation for this. I've opted for a Titan which the Professor said would be as good option for me. So the operation is 8 a.m. and I'm hoping that my Mr Floppy will stand to attention going forward. Obviously extremely nervous but in reality, there is no choice. My wife has been fantastic throughout. Any thoughts on what the first week post surgery will be like? Thanks

Hey Buddy.

You’re nervous. And normal.

Not one of us here who hasn’t had a whirlwind of doubt and apprehension. It’s a big decision in one’s life. I’m 1 month postop and doing great. Here’s a link to my thread at two weeks. Wishing you the best!

Are you getting a penosctotal or infrapubic implant?

The penoscrotal implant is made from below via an incision between the scrotum & the penis. The infrapubic implant is made via an incision in the pubic region immediately above the penis.

The recovery experience differs significantly between the 2 implant methods and, in order to put any comments that you read or receive hear here in the proper context, you need to know which method the person making the comment received in order to determine whether it is relevant to you or not.

Some men indicate which type of implant they received in their signature line, as I have done, but many others do not.

If in doubt, ask before taking any action or making an decision based on the comments that you may read or receive here..

That said, best wishes for a successful surgery & recovery! :)

Exspecto,

In my opinion your difficult work is done, you have researched your options and chosen your surgeon, now you just need to relax and be submissive to your surgeon. Others above have given you good advice, you will gain no benefit from second guessing your decision or worrying about complications. You will be just fine, just keep in mind we are all different and every surgery is different so don’t worry about what others say. After your brief recovery of about 6 weeks you will begin your new sex life with your new partner and it will just keep getting better and better, you will be able to relax and enjoy your lovemaking time without any fear of losing your hardon.

I slep not a wink the night before. Getting up early for a 6 am hospital check in was simple since I hadn’t been to bed.

I think my last words before the drugs kicked in were “we who are about to die salute you.” I also told the doc I had a lawyer on standby if I didn’t wake up eith a porn star cock.

It takes managing expectations and a willingness to defer gratification. The results are almost universally acceptable. There’s always a minute few naysayers, but the VAST majority of bionic guys ask “why did I wait so long?”

I can’t stop your jitters. They’re perfectly normal and we pretty much all dealt with same angst.

Best of luck.

I not in any way challenging your decision, but i am curious why you didn't try injections? lots of people loved injections but lots also say they wish they had skipped and went implant route sooner.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I think he is using the penoscrotal approach as he has talked about an incision in that area.

I have tried injections but alas they only got me 80% there. I had no qualms about injecting myself there. But I'm sure that I have developed slight scaring and a curvature since trying them (Caverject) and Professor Ralph said the Titan would be a good option because of that.

Thanks again and I'll let you know!

Take care

A bit over ten weeks in. Do your homework with cycling etc. Be patient and in no time will you be a happy man. Coloplast Titan here. I won't say that learning to cycle was a walk in the park. Could be different for everyone else. I began using my toy at week 7, satisfied and just started using Tri Gel and it was incredible. I was quite impatient and had text Dr Perito often. He gave me his assurances and was spot on. GL to ya and happy trails as well.
