Scrotal Pain after implant

Postby Idfl838330 » Fri Feb 03, 2023 9:32 am

My journey with ED began about 3 years ago with nerve sparing Robotic Radical Prostatectomy. I never had any issues until then. I tried pills with no success, I had some success with tri mix, which was inconsistent and painful, after a bout with priapism, I developed some peyronies from scarring.
I finally decide to use the nuclear option and was implanted 1-27-2023 AMS 700

So far I am happy with the results, however I am day 8 post op and continue to have excruciating pain in the scrotum daily, so much so that I can’t stand or sit for more than a few minutes at a time without feeling like I got kicked in the nuts. I find some comfort lying down and have been icing regularly with my bag of frozen peas.

Would any of you bionic veterans give me any idea if this is normal and do any of you have any remedies?

I do have a high pain tolerance and have had several orthopedic surgeries and rehabs, but this one is the worst

Thanks all

Who was your surgeon and did you have infra-pubic or peno-scrotal?

Were you prescribed strong pain medication? Are you taking that?

12 days me, pain and swelling in the scrotum, the swelling has gone away, the pain from not being able to pump persists strong, very strong pain in the whole shaft up to the glans and foreskin where the toes begin to enter, standing or sitting after 4/5 minutes the severe pain begins, I have to lie down and find the right position to be able to feel discomfort instead of pain, I feel the pain so badly that I think it will take at least 10 days to be able to ride a bicycle despite the fact that the doctor has given me the go-ahead , I feel the implant as if it is bigger than what I needed

Sounds pretty normal, the first two weeks I hurt bad. Laid on the couch unless I had to move. The hydrocodone and tramadol combo I was given didn't do squat for my pain, made me nauseated. Went on Percocet for a few days but got so constipated I quit them.
Just have to tough it out, sorry. If your stitches are healed and doc has released you to bathe, a hot bath helped ease my soreness. I also used Aspercream, small dab smeared where it hurt.

Thanks for your reply, the pain meds don’t do much for me either, other than get me constipated. Good to hear that this is normal. I see the doc in 6 days, and hopefully the pain will be more manageable by then. Overall I am partially inflated and pleased with the size and stiffness already. Any other words and advice are greatly appreciated

My scrotal pain wasn't as severe as yours sounds, but I couldn't allow my sac to hang freely because of pain. I got relief by wearing snug jock straps 24 hrs a day for a while.
