Both AMS and Titan are good. It largely depends on the surgeon. If you choose a high volume one, he will put the appropriate implant for your specific need.

I know nothing about if AMS or Coloplast is better/worse. Both are legit and medical research proves they're effective with high patient satisfactions.

If you care about size, AMS 700 LGX is effective at gaining more length/girth. It's advertised as capable of expanding in length and girth of up to 25%, which seems believable. However it seems to have about a girth maximum of 5.5" or so. That's commonly reported but there are medical solutions for that with different types of surgeries, though that surely require specialists who cost more. Titan is better for maintaining more girth, and unverified but reasonable sources I recall stating Coloplast being best designed for "larger guys."

And if you're not in a hurry and want to wait for newer models, it seems likely within at least 4-5 years or possibly sooner that AMS will have new devices that are controlled by Bluetooth on a phone app and are implanted into your lower stomach instead of your balls, which seems pretty cool. Coloplast will not have that option.

My doctor told me that he had more mechanical problems and had to do more revisions with the Boston Scientific AMS700 than he did with Coloplast Titan One-Touch, which is why he only does implants with the Titan now.

It's entirely subjective but I didn't like the appearance of the AMS700 because it looks cheaply made. The Titan just looks better constructed to me.

However, Titan claims that it offers 13% more girth, 3x's the rigidity and 3x's the durability, as compared with the AMS700. See: https://iu.coloplast.us/products/titan-penile-implants/

These are the reasons why I had already decided before my surgery that I wanted to get the Titan One-Touch for my implant.

This doctor implants a very high number of both, and states there are pros and cons of each implant that may be a better fit for your particular need. If one implant was provably better than the other, surgeons would never use the lesser unit.
