For those of you that pumped prior to being implanted

Postby Jage64 » Wed Jan 25, 2023 8:34 pm

How did your max pre-implant pump length compare to your post-implant inflated length?

I understand that a pump length is somewhat false because the base of the cylinder is jammed against your pubic bone pretty hard, and that won't be the case when the implant is inflated. I'm just wondering if there's any sort of correlation there.

Now, when I pump using a cylinder, my pump length is 7 3/4". Is there any connection to that and final implant inflated length?

Not only does the vacuum chamber press into your pubic fat pad but the vacuum pulls your penis forward (which neither a natural erection nor an implant-produced erection does/do).

My natural erection (which had not decreased in length from ED, thankfully) was 6" and my erection immediately after implant also 6". My erection inside the vaccum chamber was 3/4" longer. If I drew vacuum to make it much more than that, I got edema under my penile skin just behind the glans. Scary, that.

After 6mo my post and pre length is 7.0 inch

Before, if i pumped i could go almost 8"
Haven't pumped as hard after implant...not close to 8"

This is a valuable discussion. Every time a pre vs post length discussion comes up, I always wonder how everyone determines their “before measurement”. IMO, the vacuum tube scale is a good way to visualize exercising gains but it’s a false measurement in comparison to the standard bone pressed (BP) method. Simply said, a natural or induced erection by pills or injections will never quite measure up to the conditions in a vacuum.

Pre-implant my pump scale measurement was about 1/2” longer than a peak trimix induced erection. Trimix gave me great glans engorgement but not super sized like in the vacuum tube. I attribute the 1/2” longer VED size to a combination of extra glans engorgement plus the pubic fat pad press and vacuum pulling that Lost Sheep mentioned.

My 2-months post implant length while cycling, measured by BP method, is about 1” shorter than my pre-implant length on the VED scale and 1/2” shorter than peak Trimix length. My goal is to get back to my pre-implant Trimix length via cycling w/Perito exercises. I think lack of glans engorgement is the biggest part of the gap but I’m still early in the recovery process.

What "pump" are you all talking about? A VED? I don't know of any that would give you a measurement of your dick size, but let me know what I'm missing.

Just take a look at my sig photo. Lots of VED devices have measurements on side

Oh, kinda obvious I guess. LOL just checked and two of my LeLuv VEDs have measurements on them. I just never noticed. I'm an idiot, carry on. :)

I have a clear pump tube I bought YEARS ago just for messing around with, never realized I'd be using it pre-implant to keep from shrinking any more due to ED. Back then, it was just fun to pump up a boner to a laughable size and try to use it on my wife..... yeah, all fun and games back then, it was a sex toy. I also had a huge cylinder that would fit everything, penis and balls. Now that was pretty funny to open my bathrobe to a comically gigantic dick and balls.

But alas, now this penis cylinder is a medical device. I'm glad I didn't get rid of it when I lost interest in it quite awhile ago. ;)

I just put a tape measure to it and used a sharpie to mark 7, 7.5, 7.75 and 8 inches on the outside so I can track where I am.

I had ED a long time before the IPP surgery and also a Peyronies injury. I lost a lot of length. I am glad I used the VED before the surgery bc I think it was a boost to my confidence to see a 7”+ erection in the VED after having a less than 6” erection for a long time. Ultimately I had the implant and now I am over 7” again. My surgeon even commented that she was surprised at at the size she was able to place given her initial thoughts when she did the stretch test. (PS—-I first asked my doctor if I should use the VED bc I heard about it here. Maybe she would have brought it up, but be sure to discuss vacum pumping with your doctor so you have time to work with it before your surgery. Also, someone suggested measuring and photographing your flaccid & erect penis before and after and that was an excellent suggestion. I have quite a photographic record!)

I used a VED off & on before my implant. Too soon to start using it again. Serious ED started only 6 mos before implant &, even so, I was still getting nocturnal erections.

So, atrophy isn't an issue. However, I think improper use of the VED may have caused or contributed to the VL (venous leak; inability to maintain an erection) that later developed.

That said, here's my baseline info:

Pre-Op Normal : 5.75 long x 5.5 girth

Pre-Op 1.75" Dia. Tube - 5hg pressure: 6.25" long x 5.5 girth.

The max ID (internal diameter) of the 1.75" tube is 5.5". Used it to just stretch my dick a bit w/o creating the donut effect.

Don't think I'll be able to use a 1.75" tube post-op because my current partially inflated girth is already 6.0".

Pre-Op 2" Dia Tube - 5hg pressure: 7.25" long x 6.28" girth

The max ID of a 2" diameter tube. Will have to use the 2" tube if/when I use the VED post-op.

I use Velseal tubes that have measurement markers etched into the tube which makes it easy to determine pumped length.

I also have several other larger ID tubes that I've used in the past but I stopped using them because I didn't see the benefits (only the risks) of continuing to do so.
