5 Days Post-Op question

I’m going on my 5th day out of surgery, Dr Eid is having me cycle twice daily for 30min in bath.

Question: are there any indicators for being 100% deflated? Dr Eid stressed the importance of full deflation and I want to make sure I’m achieving it. After deflating I find myself still hanging out at about 4-430, is that type of position normal at this stage? I know 5 days is pretty early. Curious on what others have to say, thank you so much for the help!

Following up on this as I’d also love some feedback from more senior implantees.

When I personally feel the most deflated, is when my implant feels the most “crinkly” and honestly hangs kind of bent.

Yea I felt like I had a semi for so long like I was never fully deflates (still do ish) you come to realise its just your new penis haha.

Bath deffo helps in the deflation but it takes time to all soften up. One day you'll get a really successful deflation and have a nice moment but until then it's just what it is. Your healing inside aswell as out.

Mine bends a little to the left now too. Again all normal! Doctors sometimes want you having your penis pointing your belly button for a natural erection afterwards. I didnt and had it hanging left for lost of my recovery but still looks OK and works great.

I'm 6 weeks in. If you need anything at all message me

Thank you Rebz89! My doc did talk about reconditioning the penis and it’s flaccid state, I’m also not even a week out so everything has its timeline. I know a major part of having a full deflation relates to the reservoir maintaining its size to avoid accidental inflation down the road so I’m trying to be 100%.

A side note, my 4th round of cycling the pump was noticeably different and only took about 17-18 pumps to full inflation where as it normally takes around 45. Dr said it’s totally normal, and my 5th and 6th cycles were back to the 40 range. I’m hopeful in the future it’s that efficient but we shall see.

I also go back and fourth on which direction to keep flaccid, towards belly button has been easier to walk around but the incision site gets a tad irritated.

I appreciate the insight, super grateful for this community!!

It must be like torture to pump up after only 5 days?

My doctor told me pumping up early causes more issues than its worth. He also told me specifically NOT to take a bath until the incision was healed. Showers only.

He had me wait a full 6 weeks before pumping up all the way. I was half way inflated for those 6 weeks though.

I remember what things looked like down there at 5 days and I am glad I didn't have to start squeezing the rock hard rubber bulb then.
Seems like it would have turned my scrotum into hamburger.

Pumping up has been a breeze since day 1, no pain just a mild ache in penis, maybe a bit more with a few mid cycle pumps. My doc said his incisions are sealed after about 18 hours and the baths help quite a bit with any additional discomfort. Worst part of pumping has been learning technique (avoiding slipping) and a mild pinch between skin and pump.

From what I’ve seen all sorts of surgeons have their own techniques and procedures and it’s all over the place. I’m just following doctors orders haha.

Hi Pepe,

I can't believe you are cycling after 5 days, you must have had the infrapubic insertion. I had a peno-scrotal insertion and wasn't cleared for cycling for 4 weeks and at that time my scrotum was still highly inflamed and was very painful when I attempted inflation, so I waited another week and it was much better. I too was restricted to showers for 4 weeks. I am very pleased with my implant, I have had no problems, and my original size has returned.

To be fully deflated completely you need to squeeze the balance of fluid out of your penis, remember the reservoir is placed higher than the implant and releasing the valve will only deflate the implant to the point the pressures are equalized. When you are completely deflated, your penis will feel crinkly, and you will have more defined dog-ears. You will have to experiment with what feels the best for you and for how you want it to look and feel for each occasion.

Your doctor is probably asking you to deflate completely now because he wants the reservoir to heal at the max size. Once you are healed and have returned to normal life, just deflate to your comfort level. I have heard warnings to not keep it inflated all the time in order to have an impressive bulge because it can cause erosion at the tips of the cylinders.

Your dick will never hang as low as it did before being implanted, but you will quickly accept the new look as your new normal. At first you will think everyone thinks you are getting a hardon and you will be self-conscious about it, but that doesn't last long, it's the new you, be proud of it, no one is going to check you out like that.
