Can prior injections complicate the installation of implant?

- Lets say you use injections for a few years till you develop scarring. Can this scarring have a negative effect on the implant placement? For example will the implant be shorter in size?

- All in all is it worth it to use injections before going the implant route? (Forget the pain and other side effects, my main worry is size because I dont have too much to spare)

I'm not a doctor but I would think you would have to have some really messed up SEVERE scarring to mess up an implant placement.

In my case it was 1,000% worth using injections. I had a lot of fun using it. I could literally screw for hours and wear women out if I wanted to. I used it for 11 years.

I now have an implant (just got it) but I am 66 years old. My scarring wasn't severe and according to my doctor the implant procedure went perfectly. At 23 getting an implant should be the LAST thing on your mind unless you have some other issues going on.

I have read that ED in young men is sometimes caused by porn addictions and over masturbation. I'm not saying that's you but if it is its something to think about.

Everyone is different. You could use injections for years and not develop scarring. On the other hand like me, I used injections for only 6 months and developed scaring (lump) on my penis. Shortly therafter I went for an implant and thankfuly the Dr was able to place the implant without any issues. And of course my lump is now gone.

I think the key is to use injections if they work but watch for anomolies with your dick. lumps, hard sections, etc. My .02

That’s something to talk to your doctor about. Lots of men have used injections for years with no problems. I used them for 3 years before I had a problem not related to injections. The doctor had me using injections 3 times a week until the week before my surgery

Totally agree with Joe above. I only injected for 8 months, but developed a lump and when I was implanted by Eid, he said I was obliterated with scarring and he had to use a very small drill to get through it, the surgery taking 2.5 hours. He also put in only an 18 cm implant -- shorter than most, though he had measured me at a good 6" prior to surgery. I'm not sure, however, that that was due to the scarring.

Very fortunately I had chosen a great surgeon and I had a great outcome -- instant recovery and, over time, regained my length and then some.

Yes, agree that the effect of injections varies greatly between men, and who will get scarring and who won't doesn't seem to be predictable, unfortunately. Maybe some day you will be able to get an expected outcome. Until then, it's for sure a roll of the dice.

This is something I've been thinking about. I used injection for about 9 months, maybe once every 4-6 weeks but I did not have a good erection or it didn't work at all. I do not feel any lumps and I'm not crooked. Am I going to have problem after the injection.
Has anyone else have a situation like this?

to smphead: no shrinkage at all while doing injections -- think I had even more girth, possibly length, but not as sure about that.
