Thank you to everyone for advice. USC DOCTORS BOYD AND LOH DOYLE ARE PROs. I am out of surgery since 1.10.2023. Recovering. Questions. 9 days out. How to manage pain? How to heal quickly. I'm going to interact in public. How do I come up with reasons why I am wounded. How do I hide it. Next appointment 1.30.2023
I'm at 50% AMS LGX. PAIN localizing to pump area now. Sweatpants working fine with loose shirts.i want to get soreness to go away. Pumping not something I want to do in the short term. I will wait for doc of course. I'm worried about having to do manual labor. Don't want to lift and damage things!

What is the nature of your pain at this point? I’m at 17 days postop and i guess i’m one of the lucky ones who’ve experienced virtually no pain. Discomfort and tenderness, sure, but nothing i’d consider pain at all. I don’t know where the link to my thread i posted at 2 weeks went. It disappeared from the list of subjects I found it using the search. If it helps, here’s my summary as of 3 days ago. Best wishes.

Hi.
I don't have much of an answer for the pain. I just kind of toughed it out.
My thinking was follow my doctor's instructions exactly, and that would be my quickest way to heal up.
My excuse was a hernia, and everyone accepted that answer.
I wore loose sweatpants until my doctor deflated me. After that, I had to wear looser-fitting pants until around four months after the surgery.
Definitely wait for your doctor to instruct you on cycling.
And the same is true for manual labor. At my two-week follow-up appointment, my doctor gave me the okay to slowly resume normal physical activity. Up until then, I was restricted to walks and lifting no more than five pounds.

Well congrats on moving forward with this. I remember your first posts here asking for advice.
I don't think you can hurry up the healing except to do what doc says. Rest, good diet, and no strenuous activity.
Told people I had a cyst removed from a testicle. Most guys will cringe in horror to hearing that. Females will feel sorry for you although they don't really realize what kind of pain that could be.
I was told no heavy lifting for 6 weeks. Then it was work up to your usual activity as tolerated. Sweatpants became my norm after implant. Jeans irritate my junk after a few hours. Dress pants are no problem.
Inflating will make you sore at first. I took hot baths after doc cleared me to bathe which helped ease the soreness. Bath also helped make everything relax and easier to inflate.

I’m curious Old Guy. How soon after surgery did you start cycling? I’m day 17 post op and 60% activated. So i’ve got a perpetual chubby. Doc says cycling will start between weeks 4-6 depending on my recovery. Since my recovery seems to be going great, i’m hopeful i can start at 4 weeks. Only 11 days from now.
You mentioned that inflating will make you sore. At first. What degree (scale 0-10) was it? Did the soreness occur while inflating. After. Or both? And for how long?
Finally, How long after commencing cycling were you able to have comfortable sex? Yes, i know we’re all different but i hope to have my inaugural session in late March with my Thai girlfriend in Thailand. Wondering if i’m being realistic.

Every Dr is different and ever persons healing is different. Some Dr start cycling as early as 3 days. I personally started cycling gently at about 13 days and had sex by my 4th week.. it was painful but tolerable. Took about 8 weeks from surgery date to be comfortable but still a little pain with sex. By 6 months it was completely painless. A lot of having sex comfortably is not pumping it too hard. By 6 months I could pump max fir sex but would still ache a little towards the end. Now at 8 months it’s maxed and zero issues at all.
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast with Classic pump 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong

I never knew about cycling when I had my implant done, and my doc didn't give me any specific instructions other than "go use it". I hadn't found FT yet to get the knowledge of all the great guys here. That was also just before COVID started and the wife kept me in lockdown. Doc was only for emergencies.
I was inflated until 5 1/2 weeks because I was too sore to let doc do it at 2 weeks. At that point my soreness was around a 4/10, but after doc did his thing it went up to 8/10 for the day. First time using it for sex was the night after doc deflated me and cleared me for sex. It felt good but after my soreness jumped to a 7/10. The first few times sex made me sore, but not more than 4/10. I found inflating would cause my shaft to feel like it was sunburned, which lasted until the 5th month. Research said that was a reaction to the antibiotic on the cylinders. It did ease up as the months passed, but those first two months had me in misery. By month 6 pain was gone, sunburn feeling was near gone, and I was comfortable with the inflation and deflation process. My sack would still get sore from pressing the bulb though. By one year the implant was just a part of me. No problems, no issues. Love it.
I know you're already a couple weeks out. You should be more than ready to meet your girlfriend in late March. I will suggest a round or two of self-pleasure before your first go at PIV sex.

Thanks OG! I'm not sure what "PIV" sex is, but if you have something to teach, I guess i have something to learn!

What kinda underwear did you wear underneath? Did you use a jock strap or something else to keep your juke from moving around under the sweatpants?
