Broken implant / How long can it stay this way?

Postby Pamen116 » Thu Jan 19, 2023 2:46 am

I’m already going on 5 months I believe or longer. It’s been hard to get a job with good benefits to cover the revision. My question is: could I use VED to help from length/girth loss until I can afford the revision? Or is it impossible to not loose size since my implant is broken
30 yrs old. Current IPP failed in 2022. Waiting revision. No insurance. I’ve had both Titan & AMS.

Seriously you are going for 5th revision?? I dont know why people are not consdering malleable implants atleast you do not have to go for revisions. IPP are not durable right now. Feeling sorry for you.

VED therapy has been shown to slow down size loss due to ED. I also found that manual stretching works when you don't have time for VED therapy. I would grab my penis with thumb and fingers at the base of the glans and pull out and hold for a couple of seconds then return to natural flacid. Then repeat up to belly button, and down toward the floor then right and then left. Then repeat as many times as you have time for. Use gentle pressure. Be sure to follow the article in the general discussion section in the documents worth reading thread for penis exercise when using a VED. You can cause damage and size loss with VED use so be careful and go slow and keep vacuum low, Even low vacuum applied too fast can cause damage.

Best of luck to you with this.

I couldn’t disagree more with your statement that IPP’s aren’t durable right now!Do some research and you will see the numbers prove that they actually are.Are there some failures, yes but not all are due to the implant failing but a low volume surgeon not putting it in correctly!I hate seeing post like yours not based on facts, but opinion only scare guys away from getting a implant!

I used Dr Cramer as surgeon and failed after only 3 years. My failure must have been between the pump and reservoir as it slowly list fluid only when deflated. When I figured out the failure I was still able to pump to 80%. Staying at that level I was able to maintain size over the 6 months it took to get a revision. That said, I went into revision at 8” and out with 6”, so not sure the 6 month erection was worth the trouble.

Sorry dude, good advice thus far here, something is very fishy here. The amx cx may be the most bullit proof implant on the market. What has the surgeon said? Some thing not square here.
Good luck.

Im on the 6th month since my implant failed and due to a multitude of factors the soonest I can have a revision is in month number 8. I too was concerned about loss of size waiting this long to have revision and discussed it with 2 different high volume surgeons, both were of the opinion they would be no loss of size because the cylinders remain in place and the penis has already been stretched out by 10 years of service. In this instance they did not recommend VED therapy but said I could try it out if it gave me peace of mind. I'm fortunate I can still get a natural erection and morning wood but at 50% of normal. Waiting on revision is hard but worth it to get back to a normal sex life.

Guys it’s been a hell of a journey since the first implant. This failure was due to a leak of some sort on the CX. All the saline is gone I remember the day after the IPP broke. I’ve tried to reset the pump as recommended to no avail there’s no more saline to pump. Doc said I need to come in, but for what ? I don’t have the money to pay $200 for a visit to confirm what I know already. Waiting until I land a job with solid insurance coverage.

I’m thinking I should make a YouTube channel for updates on my experience and answer Q&As about important questions that people need to know before hand. Frank talk is great but sometimes a video for us younger crowd works better. What do y’all think?

it would be great to open a youtube channel, but I don't understand the 5 revisions, in your signature there is only 2020 and then 2022 and the others?

Sorry guys going on 5 surgeries since 2020 (fixed signature)

First surgery was done in a university hospital when the injury occurred the first time in 2020 before the implant - I had surgery - they cut me open and said they didn’t need a implant just had to fix a tear. Never could keep an erection after that.

2nd surgery- was from a Urologist in San Antonio Sammy Vick- surgery sucked because I was undersized heavy with Titan- 18 by 2. I had floppy glands or whatever you call it w so much pain. Could not have sex at all

3rd surgery- i flew to Baltimore and Kramer did my next surgery with a Titan as well at 21 by 2. Implant was great but developed a bulge/kink on the left lower area of my penis and kept getting bigger/ Kramer had terrible bed side manners so could never get to chat with him he said all looked ok but it was apparent

4th surgery- called Dr Kansas out in Austin - we met up and after a few examinations he stated that there was indeed a problem with the left cylinder popping out the corpora- got the revision- shorted me with 18 by 3 - sucked because I was 7.5 natural now I was looking at 6. Worked for 1 and a half maybe 2 and the pump broke on the CX

5th surgery- pending insurance for revision with Dr Clavell in Houston
