PAIN
As I've written elsewhere, nobody is more surprised than me that I've experience virtually no pain whatsoever. Those first 4 days or so, I was numb down below (couldn't even feel myself peeing). So, that was good. Dr. Clavell administers a nerve block designed to keep the boogie man away for a few days. Do other doctors do this? I haven't seen too many posts on this subject.
I took 1 pain pill on night 4 when i woke up sore. I'd rolled over onto my stomach and was asleep on my 60% activated chubby. Wasn't sharp or stabbing, just sore. So i took the pain pill and went back to sleep. That's the first, last, and only prescription pain pill i ever took. Other than that, 3 Tylenol. Dr. Clavell and I discussed Franktalk and he is well aware that there is a sentiment among many of the brothers to "stay ahead of the pain". He strictly told me to avoid doing that and to take the pain meds, as needed. Says he has certain guys from time to time who begin "getting ahead of the pain" right after surgery. They then deplete the pain meds early and should they need them when the block wears off, they don't have any.
BRUISING AND SWELLING
I iced heavily for 3 1/2 days. The only break i took was to fly home on day 3. About 7 hours from Houston hotel to my home. I then recommenced being ambitiously lazy and layed flat and iced some more. Subsequently, I experience very little bruising and swelling. My balls swelled only slightly, and by about day 5 i didn't notice any at all. The shaft of my dick is bruised below the circumcision line, but only slightly. Kind of looks like it did when i was fully erect and engorged in times past. Purple-ish. It fades daily. Whew. I saw some pretty gnarly pics elsewhere on the forum of guys and their swelling/bruising and I was spared all that completely.
LENGTH
At 60% activation i'm only slightly shorter than my normal fully erect state. Since i haven't been fully aroused, i haven't experienced glans swelling. But i have been slightly aroused by mere erotic thoughts or watching a bit of porn. Can feel the tingle of blood rush in both my shaft and glans, so i'm optimistic that glans engorgement and cycling will produce preoperative length.
APPEARANCE
I point constantly at 3:00. I think because of the early (minimal) swelling, it seemed harder those first few days. To pee i had to bend over the toilet at about a 30 degree angle to get it pointed in the stream pointed in the right direction. Now, i can stand pretty much straight up, point it to the proper angle, and even shake it off normally when finished. I do perceive a more oval than round appearance. As long as my Titan engorges and gets me to previous (hopefully greater) girth than before, i can live with that for sure. But i'll keep you posted when cycling commences in a couple of weeks or more. The glans developed a bit of a scab where they run that needle through, and that's peeling off gradually like what you experience when a sunburn peels. I think it should appear perfectly normal within a couple or three days.
MOBILITY
At about day 5 i made some early forays to the grocery store, driving about 6 miles round trip. To keep my chub hidden i pointed it up and put on biker compression shorts. Damn, they're tight and uncomfortable, but did the trick. I don't know how bikers wear these things for very long. Couldn't wait to get home and take them off. On night 11 post op i drove 50 miles round trip and joined some friends for dinner at a restaurant. The worst part, again, was the compression shorts. Also, the restaurant seats were hard and i'm a bit sore in the scrotum when sitting on a hard surface. Some squirming around, but overall it was good to rejoin the world again. I wore jeans, Top button undone, 1/2 way unzipped to alleviate pressure. baggy shirt to cover. On the ride home i had to drop my pants and drive home with the fly completely open to relieve the pressure. Sweatpants are still way more comfortable when going out.
I didn't touch a thing until last night when i reached down and felt the bulb in its entirety. I thought it might hurt just to take hold of it, but it didn't. The bulb sits well below the surgical scar located aft and slightly lower than the original neighbors. I could feel the bulb in its entirety and the deflation valve, but not daring to squeeze it until the doctor gives the ok.
So, as i write this, I'm pain-free and very optimistic. Please feel free to post or PM if i can help you with anything. Home alone with nothing but time on my hands for awhile. My house has never been cleaner!
