Is petechiae due to VED a problem prior to surgery?

Postby Jage64 » Thu Jan 12, 2023 3:03 pm

I know, I know, you're going to say "ask your doctor", and you'd be 100% correct.

I'm just wondering if anybody else has been advised whether or not the petechiae that may develop on your penis due to VED is an issue prior to having implant surgery. If you don't know, it's small capillaries that may leak just a little and make pinpoint red spots under the skin, which may end up looking a bit like a rash, but it's not.

For me, it looks like my penis is really tan compared to my scrotum. Doesn't hurt at all, isn't tender and other than looking a little darker than normal, absolutely no different.

I'm wondering if I have to stop pumping early enough from my surgery for the petechiae to clear up, or if it doesn't matter. (the old boy has no idea what's gonna hit him on surgery day)

Had to google petechiae, interesting, but yeah - I would imagine it's likely that petechiae during surgery is not exactly a good thing. I've heard it recommended by several reputable sources that stopping VED use 1 week before surgery is helpful. Google also tells me that petechiae usually lats 2 to 3 days, so I'd think stopping at least a week before is a good idea. But is that enough?

Well........
