I took couple of pics when the PA removed the catheter and drain. Can see some light staining at the bottom of the gauze near the wound; not much just a little at the bottom edge.

A little blood came out of the urethra when the catheter was removed. Have peed 4 times since then and can't tell it there's any blood in it. It's mostly orange from the bladder relaxer they gave me at the hospital to help me pee. The color should lighten to normal as time passes.

I mean to the point where he cut the surgeon to insert the prosthesis, it looks more like betadine (disinfectant), he forbade me to wash or take showers, absolutely no water, I should be at 70% but for me it's way beyond that, it looks like mine maximum erection, I have lost absolutely nothing, in fact I think I have gained something, I have no possibility of measuring but I am very happy, my penis feels very hard like secstesse about to burst, do you have the same feeling?

As I said, just light staining at the base of the penis near where the incision was located. Don't know if it's blood or disinfectant. No signs of bleeding from the incision

My doc expressly TOLD me to start showering today (2 days after surgery) and to start taking baths tomorrow (3 days after surgery). Said the incision would be unaffected; used glue. There's still some tape on the incision but it didn't release during the shower; expect it will come off eventually.

My penis is not "hard."Can bend it a bit when I try. Don't feel much tension; certainly not anything near like it's bursting.

If that's how yours feels, I'd suggest talking to your doc bc I don't think it should be like that.

Antonini's assistant has just come, he has seen my wound and treated me, everything is fine, he is healing very well, he has emptied my catheter container which I will take away from Antonini in the morning, my scrotum is only slightly swollen, I hope it will go down by Monday when Antonini will deflate me to inflate and deflate and send me home, tomorrow I'll talk to him about it, I'll tell him that I feel very swollen

OIC. Didn't notice that you apparently had your surgery only a day before me on 1/23.

If so, you were still fully inflated as you should have been after surgery but sounds like they're taking a little more time to deflate/release you than they did for me.

I was fully inflated for 1 day after surgery and deflated to 80% yesterday before they released me from the hospital.

When it was fully inflated it felt hard but not to bursting. Did not feel any discomfort specifically from my penis; only from the region generally.

I'm sure they'll deflate you before your release from the hospital & I hope that everything goes well for you as it seems to be going for me so far.

Ciao!

OIC.

What I understand now is that you had your surgery on 1/23, the PA just removed the catheter today 1/26 and that you are going to remain inflated until next Mon 1/30, when you should be able to begin cycling it.

At least that's when I'm supposed to start cycling; 1 wk following surgery.

You say inflation should be to 70% for 1 wk but that you feel flly inflated (not just 70%) to "bursting." I assume the PA checked your inflation level when he removed your catheter & said it was ok. Yes/no?

The 20 days w/o showers/baths seems extreme and entirely different than what my doc told me to do.

Has your doc explained why he told you not to take any showers/baths for so long?

Noon, 1/26: The psyillium worked. Only took a couple of hours. 1st poop in 3 days. Helps that I have a bidet installed on the toilet too. ;)

Doc also prescribed Colace to keep it from getting hard but didn't seem to help encourage bowel movement. The psyillium did that. So, everything seems to be working as usual down there.

That is curious. I’ve never seen anyone here who was instructed to avoid showers & baths for so long. My doctor allowed showers on the second day and beyond. No baths for 6 weeks. I was penoscrotal. Wondering if the type of surgery mak s a difference in this regard. Seems a very long time without even a shower.

today he emptied the catheter reservoir, I will keep it until tomorrow, tomorrow he will take it off and I tell him that I feel it is too swollen, it seems 100%, no water because it is the main source of bacteria, better stay away as much as possible, yes the 30th deflates me and sends me home that I should inflate and deflate 2 times a day, I don't know for how many minutes

the doctor said that in this way I am close to zero for the infection rate, I am interested in everything going well it will mean that I will wash myself in pieces, not a single drop of water must reach the incision for 20 days
