It’s been almost a week buddy! A week ago, the thought of being this far probably seemed a long way away! I’m 27 days post op and feeling great. Start cycling soon i hope. The time has passed like a blur almost. Walking 3 mikes daily and can’t wait to re-enter the gym in a couple more weeks.
Active, athletic 63 years old. Sexually, still 33 in my mind and spirit. Pills and injections all worked, until they didn’t. Diagnosed with veinous leakage in 2022. Coloplast Titan. 22 CM. No RTE. Peno-scrotal. Implanted 1/4/23. Dr. Clavell.

Thanks for your continued encouragement!

As I recall from the peno-scrotal surgeon that I consulted previously, cycling should start 4 wks (28 days) post-op.

Do you have an appt scheduled w/your doc to get cleared for that yet?

With infra-public my doc says that I should be able to start cycling when I see him again on 2/2 (9 days post-op).

So, despite the different methods used, we should start cycling at about the same time and we should be able to begin f*cking again at about the same time -- 2 wks after that.

This gives a whole new meaning to being "f*uck buddies." ;)

Good luck, buddy!!

Day 6 Post-Op: 1/30/2023 715am

The swelling "seems" to have gone down a bit more and my scrotum has really tightened up, the way it usually did pre-op wc was a pre-op cause for a concern of mine.

Felt for but had a hard time finding the pump w/a tight sack. It's still there but takes more effort to pull it out. Letting my junk soak in the tub for awhile before I start really pulling on it.

I noticed my incision is larger than I thought it would be and its a bit off center and angled slightly down to my left (relative to the midline of my body) wc I find unappealing bc my OCD wants everything to be lined up "just right."

I know the scar will eventually fade away but it's presently annoying to me nonetheless.

Also noticed the (minor) pain in the lower pubic regoin more last night & this morning. Not alarmed, just more aware of it. Been taking 2 500mg Tylenol & 3 200mg ibuprofen 2x/day for this pain.

That's it for this morning.

I thought my first video consultation was this morning. I was wrong. That date was based on my original surgery date (December), which was changed to Jan 4. So, i have 2 more weeks to go….sigh. I’m going back to work this week and not looking forward to having my dick pushed skyward with a jockstrap all day.

F*ck-buddies. Good one!

Sorry to hear about the mix-up in the dates. I may be able to begin f*cking about when you can just begin cycling, So, we really won't be "f*ck buddies" after all.

That's disappointing but we can still be "buds." LOL!

Day 6 Post-Op: 01/30/2023 535pm

2nd bath of the day.

Had to untwist the pump which turned to the right again. Held/pulled it in upright position for about 5 mins. Hurt a litte to do this. No noticeable change in appearance of genital area.

Didn't notice as much pubic pain as this morning either. So,not taking any Tylenol or Ibuprofen tonight but did take nightly does of Bactrin & Colace.

Day 7 Post-Op: 01/31/2023 730am

Bath #1 today.

Still waking up w/a slight headache & nausea. Have lost all taste for coffee in the morning. Just drinking tea.

Pump turned to the right again. Had to turn it back to vertical. 2 hand operation. Pulling from top of pump bulb w/right hand and pushing the tubes to the center w/the left hand. Holding that position for about 5 mins. Can feel tension and slight pain while doing this.

Bruising "seems" to have faded a bit but scrotum & penis still look swollen; still have a donut around the circ scar.

Took 2 Tylenols & 3 Ibuprofens last night before bed because I started to feel pain in the public region again. Didn't feel any pain and didn't take any more this morning.

Day 8 Post-Op: 02/01/2023 715am

Bath #1

Swelling went down a bit again in dick & sack but they still don't look "normal." Left side of pubis very sensitive to touch; more than the rest of the pubis.

Still taking 500mg Tylenol & 600mg Ibuprofen for minor pain & inflamation 2x/day.

Pump better positioned today but tubes push left nut up & it can't descend like normal. Not painful or uncomfortable but noticeable.

Slow but steady progress. See doc again tomorrow

Not sure how showering/bathing would be a source of infection if you're using clean water and washing the surgical area w/Hebiclens as I was told to do.

You don't want water from your upper body running down over your surgical site. Even washed with soap, that water still will contain bacteria from your skin and hair. (Note that soap disinfects more by rinsing away contaminants than my killing them off.)
