So glad to hear you have had success! The dents are the worse for me, my base underside just does not fill, going in for Coloplast Titan implant ont he 7th Feb.

Thanks - me too! Good luck on the 7th - that will be my 2nd follow-up! Be sure to let us know how it goes for you! Also, don't hesitate to come back and ask questions! Tomorrow is week 3 for me. Things are starting to look normal again and most of the swelling and bruising is gone. I can only get about 5-10 pumps in. The only thing that's uncomfortable for me at this point is wearing jeans. I put my penis down inside my jeans and it's like it wants to spring up, so that pressure is uncomfortable. I can sit fine now though - just standing in jeans is uncomfortable. Ice will be your friend. :) Best wishes!

Thanks for that... One question - I notice people all asking about underwear, is it necessary to change underwear type/size, even after 6 months when things are almost normal? Can you just buy a larger size to accomodate for the larger flaccid, or do things every get comfortable again?

You're welcome! I'm only 3+ weeks out, so I might not be the best person to answer. For me personally, I've found it difficult to deflate due to pain. I am just now getting to a point where it's bearable to use a little more pressure to squeeze and deflate. I've had to stop wearing jeans and start wearing sweats. I was using 2 pair of underwear for a while to kind of push things down, but I'm back to one pair now. I am wearing some snug ones along with the sweats and seem to be fine. I'm a little self conscious, but I asked a female friend and she said I look fine. Keep in mind, I do not have the size of implant a lot of guys do on here - I believe I have the smallest implant at 15cm + 1RTE, but I am definitely a thicker flaccid than I've ever been, it's just mine doesn't really hang, more of a dangle. Lol.

Shadow, when you're trying to squeeze to deflate, are you doing so with your penis laying across your hand with your little finger against your crus (abdomen) in a grip fashion; for example, like one would hold a carrot or cucumber, across the palm of one's hand? Because it means squeezing very close to the hard tips in the glans, this method may cause more pain than the method I usually employ, the "roll-down" method. Additionally, the roll-down method seems to get more saline back into the reservoir than the grip method, in my case.

When I roll-down to deflate, I tuck the glans/head down and into the area just above my scrotum (about where a penoscrotal implant scar would be), then I squeeze against my abdomen, tightening the roll of the penis a bit as I go. Even when I've fully deflated using the grip method, I can usually get a few more "squeaks" from my pump as fluid moves back to the reservoir by using the roll-down method.

Incidentally, I was about 4 weeks along when I broke doctor's orders and lightly inflated a couple of times. Per the doctor's orders, at 6 weeks I was fully cycling and that's when I discovered through trial and error that rolling to deflate was less painful for me.

Thank you, Waynetho! I'll give that a shot. Yes, currently I'm just wrapping my hand around the shaft and squeezing for dear life. Lol. I start towards the top and work down the shaft. I will give the roll down method a shot this evening.

I'm so afraid of doing something wrong. The other night while cycling I heard a couple of pops and it sounded "juicy". Soon after I had what I can only describe as an edema bulge on the left side of the base of the shaft. Everything still seems to be working properly, but there also still seems to be some edema there/slight bulge. Have you heard of this? Feel free to PM - I didn't mean to hijack this thread, although I think all info is good for all of us. Thanks again!!

Be mindful that early on in the healing process, it is possible to lose a stitch in one of the corporotomies (the incision where the implant was placed in the corpus cavernosum and through which the tubing exits). It may be nothing to worry about and may truly be an edema, as I got an edema early on which felt like a burning sensation and was blue and puffy, but it was mid-shaft, not at the base.

It might be a good idea to ask your surgeon just to be sure it's okay and whether you should alter your cycling routine or schedule an appointment to check it out.

I wasn't aware of that - thank you. I wrote him the day it happened. They got back to me earlier this evening and said my surgeon is out this week and they would pass my message to the on-call. If you don't mind, I have some other questions I'd like to ask via PM - as stated earlier, I didn't intend to hijack this thread. Let me know. Thank you!

How did the implant effect the dents etc? Were they filled after surgery, or after cycling? Did the shaft still have the dents and if so, how did this affect your rigidity and sex life?

Thanks

Implants can really straighten. Some guys post about a sharp immediate angle at base or long curve but straightened most of it out with very good results. The guys don't all claim its perfectly 100% straightened but many do or it's close. The surgeons are usually very good at removing or working with any scar tissue in that long area they insert the cylinders in. Ask the surgeons you meet about your specific anatomy, surgery and scar tissue.

This is why getting the best surgeon you can possibly afford is really the most important thing so many guys stress.

Thanks for the advice, appreciate it.

I have the best surgeon available in Australia.

My case is just a bit unique, there is a lot of dents/indentations. Wondering if anybody had any experience with this.

Could you explain the roll down method please, you point the glans down towards the scrotum? Then squeeze against the abdomen?

I am really struggling to deflate, and I think I may be auto inflating.

Thanks,
J

Yes, almost exactly like that. I also have to squeeze the glans against my pubic bone in an upward motion to aid in squeezing out the pressure. This may be somewhat uncomfortable for you right now since it's only been 6 weeks since your surgery, which by the description in your signature, was apparently more extreme than normal.

Appreciate the vid, I definitely wouldn't be able to do that atm.
