Swelling
How long did you have swelling following your implant? It's been 8 days and I don't think the swelling has went down any. The bruising is better but not the swelling. (Yes, I've iced the hell out of it.) The wife and I have now been calling it Frankendick because it's so grotesque.

Re: Swelling
Personally my pubic area remained swollen for a really long time, it was almost black purple blue.
And then it finally disappeared after almost 2 months.
At the time I thought that I would remain inflated all the time like that, especially since in this area the tubes circulate.
Now it's perfectly normal. Like before surgery I would say.

Trauma from surgery is real. I remember severe shrinkage from my circumcision along with every color imaginable bruising. 2 months is not unreasonable to recover enough to look normal.
I do remember a member that claimed that grabbing a huge handful of his crotch & using a slow gentle squeezing motion he was able to reduce his swelling for awhile. Not sure where the fluid went but it would reduce the swelling for a few hours. I guess that very snug underwear might do a similar thing.
Good luck & post anything that helps.

Re: Swelling
Livingston,
I agree with the above posters, I was still pretty swollen at 4 weeks even though the black and blue was subsiding. I would say you sound pretty normal. Don't worry, you will soon have your normal dick back, but it will get hard any time you want it.

Put the ice away!
Ice is helpful, in the first 72 hrs., to control swelling while it’s on the way up.
At this point, now that the swelling is going down, cold is doing more harm than good.
You want heat therapy to help liquify the edema which in turn helps your body absorb it.
Hot soaks in the bath tub are great ONLY if your doctor approves. It all depends on the type of sutures he used to close the incision. Otherwise an electric heat pad or microwave heat packs work too.
I had the exact same thing you are experiencing. Scrotal hematoma and lots of edema on the shaft. I did heat therapy 3-4 times per day starting day 4 and the swelling was near gone in 2 weeks. Normal color and skin irritation took about a week longer to clear up.

I agree. Thank you. After the first 72 hours ice doesn't help. Good thing NYE is coming up and planning lots of hot tub time! Thanks again

Re: Swelling
My doc cleared me for baths at 5 1/2 weeks. A hot bath every morning made swelling go down and the bruising to fade. A hot tub would be perfect for soaking.

5 1/2 weeks? I wonder why so long? My Dr said after 1 week. As long as the incision is closed I don't understand why it would be 5 1/2 weeks. Go figure.
