I just hope all the guys who think negative about implants see this post.
So many guys happy with their decision to go under the knife and fix that ED issue once and for good.

I hope that you are correct. But letting my old man attitude show. I'm pretty sure that some of the negative thinkers are basement dwellers. No convincing them because the heard from a fellow basement dweller that this urban myth they're preaching is the truth.
I hope that I'm wrong on this.

My wife has gone through menopause, she has zero interest in sex now.

Get the implant as soon as you can! We only enjoyed the implant for 1 year!

My wife had no interest whatever in my implant - before, during, or after. She had lost all interest in sex after our years of fumbling around with ED, and was not in the least disappointed to learn that among other things my stroke killed my sexual desire. She was relieved that there was going to be no sexual reboot. We get along fine, have a good relationship, but no intimacy, and it works for us.

I love to hear that. I am newly implanted on 12/14 and I am anxious to get cycling and use these new toy. Wife is still on the fence but open to giving it a go.

My wife also had her reservations. That wasn't surprising, given the years of occasional, mediocre sex we had.

But she's come around now. Last night she woke me up around 12:30 looking for some action.

Time2Change, I can completely relate to your comments. I can't wait for my wife to wake me up for action....... :D

We’ve been abstinent for a year after meds stopped working entirely and we both hated injections for different reasons, me mostly because they didn’t work worth squat.

Implanted 11/1 and we haven’t had sex yet because I keep leaking from my incision, just scant fluid. But for some reason the idea of me leaking on her from my scrotum isn’t a turn on.

She also was with me postop where i had a lot of pain and couldn’t urinate and the entire process has seemed very medically unappealing to date. I’ve also had persistent pain at the reservoir site which I haven’t mentioned to her but she knows I’ve limited my activity.

In retrospect I should have had her buy in with even more detail on the mechanics of an IPP. I don’t think she fully understood the pump lives in the scrotum and I’d have an internalized fluid bag stuffed in my abdominal musculature and there have been quiet concerns expressed that bottom line it’s kinda gross to her. Maybe that’s a takeaway for others, to have their wives understand precisely what things will be like after surgery.

My wife is a retired nurse with years of surgical experience behind her. The mechanics of the implant and procedure weren't an issue for her, but she just wasn't interested in anything that might restart our sex life. For what it may be worth, my internist told me before I got the implant that I shouldn't place my expectations too high - he said many couples who have been abstinent for a long time, like we were, often never get it back.
