Simple geometry: why size loss is devastating

Postby Musson » Wed Dec 14, 2022 2:53 pm

I’ve lost 1.5 inches in length and .5 inches in girth. Trivial some would say…get over it. Grow up. Well if you remember high school geometry and calculating the volume of a cylinder? Length x pieR squared. Using this formula I’ve lost 35% of my volume. Now that’s significant. Really having trouble with this although my rational brain knows there is nothing I can do to gain it back. Onward towards an implant brothers.
63yr old. PDwith 40% dor. Curve. Pre-PD 7”x6”.lost 2 in. due to PD. ED prior to PD. Switched from Sildalifil to Trimix Nov 2023 . Currently titrating Trimix for optimization.

Bummer to realize that.

Congratulations on your willingness to not go crazy over it.

Advice: Have you been using Vacuum Therapy to stretch your penile tissues and stimulate healthy blood flow through them?

I’ve used both traction and VED. It does work. I’ve been able to gain about .5 inches in length when I’m consistent. It goes away quickly when I fall off the wagon. I plan to really work the therapy consistently leading up to surgery. Probably looking at surgery next year.

Lost, I definitely went through a depression. I’ve read that Peyroines triggers depression in about 25% of men who acquire the affliction. I think I’ve mostly gotten over it by positive self talk and understanding the phenomenon.

Brothers if you feel depressed there is help. Talk to someone: a friend or a professional. I was devastated by my broken and shrunken penis. But thank gawd I still have something that can be repaired. Hope Brothers….if you hope for something you must hope In something. In my case I’m hoping a future implant improves my situation.

If you stay with it (Protocol I suggest is 30 minutes twice a day, vacuum up to full erection for a minute, then let down to flaccid and repeat until the 30 minutes has passed). I have no idea for how many weeks you used the VED, but 60 days is considered a minimum. In addition to preventing further size loss, it may be able to restore some loss (maybe) and is thought to make it easier for the surgeon to insert the implant and make recovery slightly easier on the patient.

Do not overdo the vacuum. That can cause injury.

Can I ask which VED you use? I think most of them are probably pretty similar but I'd imagine some might be less effective than others.

Not sure of the name. It’s medical grade though.

When you say "Onward towards an implant brothers", I'm wondering what are your barriers to moving forward with it -- e.g. insurance?

Since my dick still works somewhat I’ve decided to wait until next year. Life is complicated at the moment.

Just wild speculation on my part. Perhaps he changed insurance companies. Will be effective January 1, 2023.
I just changed to an Advantage plan to go along with Medicare A & B. I sure hope that doesn't come back to bite me. I guess time will tell.
