Tired of the whining
I’ve been an active participant on Frank talk since my implant 18 months ago. Lately though I’m growing tired of guys that are whining that with their implants it’s just cylinders with flesh, blah blah or it’s not the same blah blah. Guys, I was 50 when ED set in after extensive lower back damage and 4 back surgeries,I couldn’t get an erection to last for my life and I also had a lot of atrophy (shrinkage). My wife was a champion at pleasing me the entire time but my mental health was in the sewer because I couldn’t please her. She prefers doggy style sex and by the time I’d move into position I’d be limp as a wet noodle. After my implant I can go for 2 hours and please her repeatedly, my mental health is equal to that of my 18 year old self, I last longer before orgasm and it doesn’t matter after I cum I can still go on for as long as she can take. She is thrilled with the bigger thicker long lasting dick I have and so am I. I would be proud to be in a locker room now, which I never was before because I was a grower pre implant, now I have an awesome looking 6 inch flaccid dick. Proud as a peacock. After an implant look at the positives and eliminate the negative bs and keep on having sex. Not meant for guys who’s wives don’t like sex, that a different topic

Re: Tired of the whining
I agree 100%. I was in my was about 40 when I started having issues, pills then injections. My ED really got worse when I went through a divorce not related to ED.
Met my current wife went from pills to injections. When Peyronie’s Disease started I thought my sex life was over gained a lot of weight. Near 300 pounds I’m just shy of 6’4”.
When I got my implant I just turned 57. I never regretted it sex is back my mental health has improved, I have major depression due to my military service.
I can have sex, from pure animal f*cking, to long passionate love making. Is my dick different? Is it longer in the non erect stage? Yes and I’m proud of it.
I think I get more look’s because I’m 60, chubby (I’ve only lost 50 pounds of the weight I gained.) pierced nipples and a PA not to mention when I swim laps I wear a Speedo. Then looking at what is between my legs.
If that’s what they are looking at fine but I’m taken.
Would I do it again? Yes in a heartbeat.

Re: Tired of the whining
I understand your feelings. I blame at least some of it on newer members. Perhaps younger than the average implantee. They seem to focus on the griping of the recently implanted members that are still suffering from the early post surgery look of their penis.
The simple facts are that for the first few months after surgery is not the time to assume that your penis is going to permantly look or measre as it is. All surgery requires some recovery time for everything to normalize. That process is even more drastic iin breast lifts/reductions & it seems to me that women handle it better than men do with implants.
Another point is revisions. This forum is to help men navigate that. To assume that the trials of a few that truly need help are the norm for all implants is absurd.
Also, there seems to be a preponderance of men showing up with pre conceived myths already set in their minds. Its hard to (and draining) get some to understand the truth from real implanted men when they "know it all" because some basement dweller on the internet said these myths.
My late father in law got an implant in the early 1990's. Never had a problem & seemed quite happy with it. This was prior to being ables to find these myths on the internet. Btw, he took his first & only implant to the grave.

If you notice any particular user annoying, And you rather not hear from them.
You can add them to your foe list. You can still read their messages. However they are hidden by default.

I agree with your points. Specifically for the recovery period. It's lengthier than most antecipate, and judging anything within the first 6 months or even a year is probably premature. If you are not happy with cosmetic issues, or having discomforts, from my experience atleast, most of them will fade away completetly within the first year, even the ones that make you think you'll need a revision to correct, but surprinsingly, as the implant settles in the body, it becomes your part of your normal self, so be patient, give most of your concerns atleast one year to resolve, if it doesn't, then go see the doc.
A signficant part of the complaints I see from implantees with working implants are related to being young and single and having relations with people unaware of the implant, which I have done and it's not an issue mostly. It's a learning process to conceal your pump, and it's not that complicated, just distract the partner whenever they go for your balls, it's really all you have to do. I promote not discussing it with anybody unless you establish a relationship with that person, otherwise it's none of their business.

Re: Tired of the whining
I think it boils down to they are just seeing the negative info. Yes, there are many guys here that have had failures, revisions and infections. However, there are probably many more guys who are implanted and never mention it, much less even know that FT is here.
Thirty or forty years ago I probably wouldn't have mentioned having an implanted dick. That's my male pride and I ain't telling anyone my manhood don't work. I am fortunate that my good erections lasted up to my mid-50's, but then it was a battle for 13 years. Pills failed, then injections failed leaving me feeling so damn depressed life wasn't worth being here for. Had no knowledge of implants and figured my sex life was over except for the rare hand job on my floppy.
When I found out about implants all I knew is it would give me erections again. Had no idea what it entailed until I was in the process. Why I didn't do more research I'm not sure but went into the surgery blind. As much as my recovery was tough once I got using my bionic dick life just got better and better. 3+ years of sex that I would have missed, so far.

Re: Tired of the whining
When I distill it, I opine that the "whining" is the result of unrealistic expectations. An implant is not a miracle. It is not a cure. It treats impotence with the best technology we have available right now. Mine put me miles ahead of where I was before the surgery but it does fall short of the way I was in my youth and pump placement is too high for my taste. But that complaint and any others I have are NOTHING compared to a non-functioning erection.
Of course, some people would complain if they were to be hung with a new rope.

Re: Tired of the whining
I see it a bit differently. This is more difficult for some men, and we have even lost men from this site over the difficulty they have with ED. We are here to support and help each other. Not only does this have a long recovery time but doctors differ a lot not only in treatment but in the surgery as well. The top doctors even differ a lot. And even the top doctors have reoperation and infection rates. If men are nit picking the variables it just means they are not ready for this. I remember doing this and when I finally made the choice for this it was like a light turned on. Some men don't have that light turn on even a year after surgery. We are all different and ED affects us differently. It does get tiring to answer the same questions over and over again. And there are a lot of questions that can be answered by new members going to the general discussion section and reading in the documents worth reading thread. And using the search function on this board and the web. But these men are in a bad place emotionally and mentally.
One of the things I have done is to be more selective on the threads that I reply to. I am not one to try to argue but at times there is a need to get good information out to members. I try to help out when I can and just ignore posts that have already been answered. Or ones that I have nothing helpful to say to.
Best of luck to all.

Re: Tired of the whining
Just implanted today 12/13/22 and I'm excited and very optimistic for a sex life better than when I was much younger. My outlook on life is important, so if the performance anxiety goes away and I can perform anytime, anywhere for as long I want and as long as my wife wants will be a game changer.

Im still lurking on almost every day and i agree with newbe, im selective on on topics cause i wont answer the same bs, theres a lot of good info on here if you just research the older threads, but i feel guys dont want to do the homework, its easier to open a new thread. Trust me guys theres more info in older threads that you can put together with newer threads to get what answers you need, try it you might be amazed what xtra you find that can be more helpful.
