In this series of videos, Dr.Eid clearly states that the old generation Titan pump (known as Genesis) is the most durable pump.

I recently had surgery with Dr. Eid. During my fitting consultation he gently persuaded me towards the Classic pump. He said the Classic offered the best chance this implant will be the only one I’ll need in my lifetime. For my situation, reliability and easier pumping out weigh the benefits of the OTR feature.

BTW, I used the term “Genesis Pump” in Dr. Eid’s office. He corrected me stating that’s a misnomer that lingers in the industry. Genesis is Coloplast’s malleable implant line which do not have pumps. Coloplast never offered a Genesis Pump in their product offering. However, Dr. Garber (now retired) published research papers referring to the original Titan pump as Genesis and it stuck ever since. That’s just a little implant trivia I learned along the way.

While we are on the subject of Eid, I would like to take the opportunity to bow to the doc I consider to be the master of implants. I found him to be very kind and personable, and though he reported that my surgery was lengthy and complicated due to scarring, my healing was nearly instantaneous. My flight home 2 days after was painless and I sat comfortably at a dinner with guests 2 days after that. Further, I could easily cycle 3 days after surgery and have sex after 3 weeks. Over a couple months I reached the length and girth he guaranteed and even more after that. I am not implying that all his patients have had such a perfect experience but I’ll bet many have.
