No pain??

Postby Badspartan » Fri Dec 02, 2022 1:53 pm

I was implanted 48 hrs ago and I’m having no pain. Laying in bed or on the couch, there’s nothing. I can feel a twinge when I turn over but that’s it. Does the pain meds given at the time of surgery last this long? I’m a little worried that tomorrow, I’ll feel like I’ve been hit by a train. The Dr said yesterday that I was “pretty beat up”. Had to break up some scar tissue

Bad,

I'm a little ahead of you as I was implanted on the 15th. But I was the same as far as pain goes. The only pain that I have is usually self inflicted meaning I rolled over to fast or bumped something. I have done some cycling that brings on a stronger discomfort \pain. My sac blew up the size of a softball on day 6 or so it's not painful just heavy. the Jock strap helps with this though.

Hi

My experience was similar, very little pain, rather I would say only some discomfort.

I did not have analgesic medications, only the effect that anesthesia could have, which I believe would fade soon, because I had no general anesthesia, only local.

The following days, take some analgesic, because when I sit in a chair and walk, bothered and hurt the area of the scar and scrotum.

Everything was solved, lying in bed, it seemed as if I didn't have surgery.

Just a little patience

Regards

I gave myself 5 pumps and took a shower. Felt good to wash him up a little. Left the 5 pumps in while I showered and dressed. Then I deflated. Hope it stays this easy and gets better

Not everybody has pain. Quit worrying.

I was implanted 12-31-2019. No pain. Bruising yes. Sore definitely. Mild discomfort.

But never any real pain. Healed up quick. Still working great coming up on 3 years. Probably a less traumatic deal than the every 10 year colonoscopy.

Hey Badspartan,

You are doing great! My first attempts at cycling was at 4 weeks and my scrotum was so inflamed I could only do it a couple times and it felt like my scrotum was on fire. I left it alone for a week and when I went back to it the inflation/deflation when a lot easier. No way could I have done that at 48 hrs.

I think the aesthetics given during surgery last 2, maybe three days. My forth day was the worst, but I was able to control the pain with the Tylenol, 1,000 mg every 4 hours. Just stay ahead of it if the pain begins.

You are smart laying down as much as you are, I did the same and I believe it really kept the swelling down. If I sat up I could felt the fluid pressure increase at the surgery site, so I stayed down as much as I could.

Healing, unfortunately, is something you can’t rush.

I had only some minor discomfort during the first 2 days after surgery and didn’t use any of the prescription pain pills. Then on the 3rd day, similar to Maddawg, my sac blew up the size of a softball and the skin turned all sorts of colors. It was very firm and I couldn’t feel the pump or anything inside. Just a heavy sensation then on days 4-9 my scrotal skin felt like it was on fire and peeled twice like a sunburn. That was painful. Doc called it a scrotal hematoma and advised heat therapy to liquify the old blood and help the body rid the swelling. It took 2 weeks to get the size back to normal although the skin is still a bit tender.

Basically, I think I would have breezed through the surgery recovery if it hadn’t been for the hematoma. That caused me all sorts of grief and discomfort and delayed cycling.

Skill of the surgeon (and maybe just some good luck)..... I hurt like a bitch for months after my first implant. Much less pain with my subsequent implants. As I approach my 72nd birthday and able to "get it on" I'll say once again: Dr Perito is my hero!!! Good luck guys!

I think he is illustrating that revisions aren't automatically a thing to fear. Living without erections is what to fear.
