Who has had their implant as an outpatient procedure? How did that work out?

Re: Outpatient
Mine was out-patient. I did have to remove the drain bag and catheter the next morning. Catheter was no problem, drain bag stitch was buried and hard to see, but wife got it. If I had stayed overnight nurses would have done that, but I'm sure the bill would reflect that too.
Showed up early AM, in surgery and done before noon. Wife drove me home. Being this was my first ever surgery the anesthesia knocked me out. I slept most of the next 2 days.
The surgery center was only a 20 to 25 minute drive though. If you have a long drive you might consider an overnight.

Re: Outpatient
My implant by Eid was outpatient. Operation in late morning, out by afternoon. He does a spinal. He sends you home with a catheter. I stayed close by over the weekend (lots of ice all weekend) and had the catheter out on Monday. Had gone out to lunch on Sunday afternoon.

This sounds very much like our situation. But, we're 2 hours away. My wife is a nurse practitioner so she can remove the catheter and the drains. My surgery is December 22nd, so the next day the office will be closed through the Christmas holiday.

Re: Outpatient
My implant was out-patient and because of the complications the Peyronie's plaque caused, ran 3+ hours. I was about 70% inflated and wrapped up like a mummy, with the catheter in. Car ride home was about 45 minutes and being well medicated, totally pain free (I really get my monies worth from pain killers
). Went straight to bed and slept well for hours. Next AM, we removed the wrap, pulled out the catheter which I was really dreading, but it slid right out not hurting at all. I spent the next 2 days pretty much in bed, watching Netflix and sleeping. My dick and balls were quite swollen and slowly began turning a wide variety colors. Pain never got bad, because I didn't let it get ahead of me. I took a few pain killers, just far less than prescribed. The experience was easier than I expected, even learning to live with a boner 24 hours a day
.

20 years of severe Peyronie's plaque, 90 curve, hinging and ED. Cost me 1.5" L and 1" G.
