Oh no! This is terrible news. I’ll be interested in where the failure is. I’m planning on an AMS by Clavell in a few months.

Wishing you the best, only a year sucks.

Very bad news.

What is the malfunction?
If you want to tell us, of course.

I hope it could be a recoverable malfunction.

The best for you

Mine failed after 2 years and 2 months. I just got my revision done.
The recovery thus far has been much easier though, keep that in mind.
On the plus side, now you're likely to get the biggest implant out there, the 28cm.
Do you know where it failed already?
Good luck with your revision!

Thats a bummer I understand how disappointed you must be and unfortunately that occurs to a small percentage of us. Was wondering do you have the Titan or the AMS unit? Also could you share with us how the unit failed and what the doctor had to say about it. Just remember this is not the end of the road you have options take the time to clear your head and then make plans for revision.

I have a titan

Leaking somewhere…I pumped it about 4 pumps this morning and the bulb completely flattened (normally 60 pumps). Clavell installed it…I’m texting with him now

CraigO,

Oh man, terrible news, we all know what it was like when ED hit us hard, and now, you have been so spoiled for a year, I bet the best sex of your life, then to have it taken away so abruptly. That really sucks.

As a newly implanted member, I want to join the rest of us saying, please keep us informed of all aspects of this failure and its remedy. We all want to know, what failed and what was the reason, could have it been prevented, is it something you did, something you didn't do, or what? What is the manufacturer doing to keep this from happening again?

Of interest, what is this going to cost you? How was your initial implant paid for? What is the manufacturer going to do for you? How is your doctor handling it? Is insurance or medicare taking care of the revision? Or are you going to have to bite the big one?

I have never seen it on FT, but I think one of us should put together one or more detailed surveys so we can tally in one place what the most common failures are and how they are handled by the manufacturers, doctors, and insurance companies. I know there are many comments on these issues in various threads, but I would like to see them tabulated in one place on FT.

No one expect this to happen to them, but it would be nice to know what to expect if it does.

Best of luck CraigO, please let us know how this is handled.

That is terrible news CraigO. Hopefully you can get a revision quickly and all goes smoothly. Keep us all updated.

$5k for the revision(seems insane that their product failed and they don’t cover the operation)
Clavell did the initial with a titan xl.
I always felt like this thing was fragile
We don’t know where the failure is, but I was crippled with abdominal pain for about 20 minutes last night after work and had no idea what was causing it…a couple hours later I discovered the failure
