That's an interesting idea. Thanks for sharing. Have you tried this product specifically?
I'll do vacuum as soon as I'm able to. I also believe it might help.

I have a couple of devices, yes have this one and one by this company that I can use at home sometimes https://lghangerllc.com/products/

I used them about 6 to 12 months after implant as I was getting a lot of burning in the glans and felt like the tips were way too high up and felt I needed a little room in there, and think it did help stretch me out length wise a few more millimeters at least. The latter product does put some pressure at the base on the tubing and can be uncomfortable a bit after a while, but the one with the leg strap puts no pressure on any of the tubing at all. Agree with vacuum though, it helps keep blood circulating to the tissues and the glans which can atrophy a bit after getting an implant.

Day 41 (6 weeks):

I'm currently at my second day at the hospital taking in IV antibiotics and pain medication.
The pain is a sort of burning sensation from within the shaft. I cannot even pull my foreskin back and I have never had an issue with that. Everything is extremely sensible. The pump and scrotum however strangely are not the source of pain.
My scrotum incision still hasn't fully closed and I have some blood/serum type of discharge, but it doesn't smell at all, which according to the Docs, is a very good thing.
Visibly, neither the scrotum or the shaft are presenting signs of infection, no smell, no redness, no bruises. It doesn't look bad at all.

CPR is now at 6mg/L from 48.7mg/L last week, so the oral antibiotics definitely helped. I also did an MRI and the implant and penis show zero abnormalities.

At this point, the plan is to take antibiotics in the hospital for 48-96h and if by saturday, if things don't improve, we're going to take the Titan out and put in a Tactra malleable.

It's been such a tiresome process. If I end up having to go through another revision from this revision's infection, I'm likely not touching an IPP ever again, unless the malleable experience is absolutely terrible. I simply want to be done with this whole thing. Also, I just want to get back to fucking. It's been 2 1/2 months.

More updates soon.

Appreciate the message. It's bad but hey, if it wasn't for the implant, I wouldn't be fucking either. The implant whether a malleable or inflatable give us all a chance to experience sex to old age. The thing is, neither the body, nor the wallet or the mind can handle biannual penile surgery, so if things go south, I might stick with the malleable unless, again, it turns out to be an even worse nightmare.

I hope the pain goes away by then and you won't need another surgery. How does replacing with malleable help fight the infection? I never understood why malleables don't have the same risk of infection.

Are there other possible causes of the failed device?

Day 46:

Bad news. I have an infection.

I've been in the hospital taking antibiotics and pain medication for the past 7 days. So far, the pain hasn't subsided much at all, perhaps has lessened by 20%. I'd say that the pain is under control being in the hospital and taking lots of meds, but it's very far from being remotely ok.

Facts:
From the testing and previous exams, all my blood work is close to perfect, my scrotum/penis shows no signs of infection, corroborated by a MRI exam. The bad part, I have alot of pain through the shaft of the penis (scrotum is mostly fine) and my incision has a tiny little hole that refuses to close and I have small but significant amount of discharge through the unhealed part of the scrotum incision.

Yesterday, Dr. took some of the discharge from the scrotum and sent it to the lab for culture testing. Depending on the results (will take 3-4 days until it's ready), we might either change antibiotics or if things don't improve by the time the lab results come through and turns out that the current antibiotics were appropriate but unable to kill the infection, the current device will be removed and replaced by a malleable.

More updates soon.

My understanding is that the malleable simply has less exposed surface area therefore it's harder to contaminate.

Are there other possible causes of the failed device?

It was a tubing failure, what caused it specifically is hard to pinpoint. It's mostly wear and tear and the inherent well known fragility of this part of the coloplast devices.

friend I hope with all my heart that they can find a suitable antibiotic for you ... I only wonder one thing, it is not possible that it is not an infection but only the insertion of the new device to bring you pain? .. I had a bad trauma 3 years have passed and the tunic fibrosis still brings me severe pain, sometimes unbearable, I was just wondering if I had an implant these pains could lead me to an infection, it's the first thing I'll ask the doctor

Quick reflection:

I'm 30 years old, did my initial surgery less than 2 1/2 years ago. Recovery from first surgery was not joke, but I got through it and despite some negatives, the implant shined, it was amazing. However, the implant failed amid terrible timing in my professional and personal life. I went through a revision surgery and now it's been 45+ days of alot of physical and mental strain due to the post op complications, which turned out to be an infection. I've been hospitalized for a week and odds are I'll be hospitalized for atleast another one fighting this infection.

So, it's been said the odds of an implant failing are roughly 2% for the first 3 years (or something, won't dig publications to properly cite the stats). Checked, I'm in this sample.
It's also been said that the odds of infection from a revision are doubled that from a virgin surgery. Virgin surgery (let's use a very high number) rate for infection: 5%, revision then: 10%. Checked, I'm also in this sample.

Math serves me correctly, 0.1*0.02=0.002=1/500. Either I'm the unlucky 1 out of 500 to have a premature failure AND have an infection from my first revision OR some or either of these stats (premature failure rate before 3 years / revision infection rate) are actually incorrectly or have been fabricated and maliciously reported through some of these publications due to lobbying / interest alignment related incentives. Of course, I can only speculate.

Regardless of the above, here's what I'm thinking:
There is no better alternative or solution to effectively cure ED. An implant quite literally does NOT cure ED but it does literally SOLVES the problem ED brings, which is making your dick hard.

So, I have currently lost faith in IPP's, It's likely I'll be forcibly trying the malleable experience because if it gets to point of having to go through a salvage, an IPP won't be an option.

Potential outcomes if things go south (as in, infection is not cured):
1) Titan Removed. Malleable installed. 4 months from now switch back to Titan.
2) Titan Removed. Malleable installed. 4 months from now keep Malleable.
3) Titan Removed. Malleable not installed. Limp dick for life.

What I currently want at this moment: I want a hard dick and do not want to have to go through another penile surgical procedure for the next 5 years.

So I lean towards option 2, unless:

Cconcealment. I have a job and career that isn't/won't be tolerant of an employee appearing to have an erection at all times. If it turns out that I cannot, as in, have zero chance of being able to properly conceal the malleable, then, and only then I'll put myself through this torturous path of having an inflatable implant properly installed once again and just roll the dice hoping I'm not in the unlucky sample once again. Changing careers is not an option. My wishful thinking is if JH2007 was able to conceal his porn actor tactra cock for most of his daily activities, I might also have a chance.

Rant over.
