Implant & Circumcision Today - Dr. Perito

Postby dunbar57 » Wed Oct 26, 2022 10:43 am

I was supposed to get my implant back in July but my prostate cancer returned.

I had 38 days of radiation in July & August and was cleared for surgery, so today's the day!

Surgery at 2 pm. My wife and I are staying at a great hotel 2 miles away.

I'll have the follow-up appointment and drain removal Friday and then head home.

Thank you to ALL of you who have posted so much useful information!

Franktalk has been a huge blessing for me!

Foreskin is no barrier to an implant.

Having been circumcised shortly after birth I cannot compare quality of sex, but I do havea corona that is prominent enough that my girlfriend can feel it inside her quite distinctly and to (by her reports) very pleasurably.

I have heard that the friction reduction (during sexual thrusting) afforded by a foreskin is a major advantage, but I have found that when my girlfriend is sufficiently aroused her vaginal lubrication is quite adequate. I do believe that for a "quicky" a foreskin would make initial penetration easier. Oh, well, I have what I have. Pretty happy with it.

I have a 75 YO foreskin that I am very pleased with. I see as a big positive. In my implant decision making process I saw 6 urologist (yes, I am analytical), one of which recommended a circumcision. I’m not convinced that even urologist appreciate the value of foreskin. It appears that cultural / religious considerations may be the driving force of that line of reasoning. Now that I have a nearly 2 YO implant with the tips well located in the glans that the protecting , insulating nature of the foreskin is a real positive.

Having lived with a foreskin as an adult and then doing a circumcision, because I wanted it for several reasons, for me being circumcised is much better! That said, I do not understand why some on this site, mostly uncircumcised, are so against circumcision. If a guy wants to be circumcised it’s his choice, no one should question or ridicule.
Diagnosed venous leak. Going with injections rather than implant for the time being.
