Doubts about defecation. Shapes, sensations, discomfort

Postby España1980 » Sun Oct 23, 2022 7:20 pm

This is a subject that I have not read about, but I am concerned about how the life of a man with an implant changes when it comes to defecating the first weeks that it has to be inflated since we normally do both things at the same time (urine and poo) and also if he then has an almost horizontal inclination of the penis as he does to put it in the toilet and do both things at the same time, defecate and urinate. And how uncomfortable it is or how they solved it or how they do it daily. In addition to whether the reservoir in all this bothers since one has to tighten the abdominal muscles

I do not know about infrapubic but for my penoscrotal approach where the doctor went between the layers of muscle to place the reservoir, I had a 10 lb. weightlifting restriction and was instructed to purchase otc stool softeners so that I did not strain. I was left partially inflated for 19 days and it was a trick I had to learn to go both. I would move back as far as I could and angle my penis down and under the toilet seat. I would keep my fingers under the toilet seat and push down on the shaft as I move forward and down. If I did not push down on the shaft, I would pee out between the toilet seat and bowel. I did see a post on a thread not long ago where a member advised to set down backwards on the seat or facing the wall. I have never tried that. At first just peeing is a challenge as I would spray at different angles. Some men have posted they just use the shower or get the hospital urinal. As you may wake up with a cath you may not have one in your room, but you can buy them at most drug stores or online. Really any large mouth bottle you can get the end of your penis in will work.
Injections failed. Implanted 3-21-18 AMS 700 LGX 21 + 1 RTE 100 cc reservoir 6.5" L 5" G Dr. Kramer.

As mentioned before one challenge is urinating.. I used the sink with water running after I missed the commode several times. As for poo… I took a gentle stool softener for the first few weeks but the best thing was a fleet enema. Little lube squirt the bottle in and wait a few minutes… just comes right out. I would wash and reuse the bottles many times. Sometimes refil it and reuse several times in a row to get more out. After two weeks I was able to go without pain.

I think every man who has his procedure has a slightly different experience with it. I believe a lot of it has to do with the surgeon. When I had the Titan, I had absolutely zero pain anywhere near the reservoir area. I don’t know how my doctor placed the reservoir, but the only issue I had pain wise was the tubing that came from the reservoir down to the inflation bulb. I never had actual pain. I had a lot of discomfort. I was very careful getting up and getting down from the couch but from the second day after the surgery, I could walk with no issues I could sit down with no issues, and using the bathroom wasn’t particularly difficult for me.

I highly recommend keeping up with a stool softener, at least for the first week or two. Especially if you’re prescribed any type of opiates for pain. I absolutely hate any type of opiate, I don’t like the way they make me feel. After the second day of tramadol, I was completely OK with cycling ibuprofen, and Tylenol.

I never had an issue defecating, and for the first two weeks while I was inflated I simply sat on the toilet as far back as I could, pointed down and peed. I will echo what one of the other guy said, if you try to pee standing up, you’re gonna have to clean up afterwards.

Don’t make a mistake I did. Relax completely at least the first week. I definitely overdid it because I have a hard time laying down for a period of time. I ended up with an infection in the titan, and had to be fitted with a malleable until I can go back to another titan in the next couple months. I’m not saying that I’m going back to work the second week with a bad idea but I really wish I would’ve relaxed more the first week. I have a hard time remembering that I’m 53 and not 23. Thanks take just a little bit longer to heal it. As much as Work needs me. Healing is far more important. If you have any other questions, just ask here or PM me.
