3 days into cycling and my scrotum is on fire, what was your experience

Postby AmansinCali » Thu Oct 13, 2022 1:50 pm

Hi guys,

I had my first office visit since my Titan implant on Monday, I was deflated in the office, then inflated but not fully, roughly to the point it was when I left the hospital, about 60%. Then I was instructed to hold the valve open to release the pressure while squeezing my penis from tip to base, then inflate again to about 60% and deflate again.

Tuesday morning my scrotum was so sore I couldn't cycle my implant. Wednesday, even though my scrotum was very sore from all the manipulation, I bit the bullet and inflated to the max I could pump. The pump became very hard and I could not apply enough pressure to force any more fluid into my implant. I left myself inflated for about a half an hour until the aching became hard to bear, then released the pressure while squeezing.

Today, my scrotum is very sore and inflamed, it is the skin and tissue from being caught between my fingers and the pump. I have not seen this discussed on FT, have all of you with implants gone through this in the beginning of your cycling? I didn't expect this.

Also, the pump is much harder to pump than I anticipated, is this normal? Does it get easier?

Oh yes, I was sore for a long time. I was left 60% inflated from surgery until my 2 week follow up. At that time I was still so sore I could not tolerate doc trying to deflate me. I got left 60% inflated until my next appointment at 5 1/2 weeks. I was still pretty sore still, but doc got me deflated. A few days later I inflated and couldn't find the deflate button. Made my sack so sore from poking around had to stay inflated and go back to doc to get deflated the next day.
I'm surprised your doc allowed you to inflate and deflate already. One week is quite soon, so no wonder why you're sore.
Try ice packs to reduce swelling. If your incision is fully healed, try a hot bath. Stay ahead of the pain with whatever your doc recommends. The first couple of weeks are tough, then it gets easier.
Good Luck getting through this. You'll be happy in a couple months.

I think all of this in one degree or another. Remember no two guys, or their scrotums are the same. I was sent home 70% inflated and at my 2 week follow up, the Dr. took hold of my sac and pressed the deflate button and squeezed and bent my dick to get it soft. It hurt so bad I thought I was going to throw up or pass out or both. I was just starting to recover a little, when here we go again! He grabbed my scrotum and reinflated me to about 40%. I had to sit down and wait about ten minutes before I thought I could walk. At 4 weeks, I met with the AMS rep so he could make sure everything was OK and clear me to begin cycling. Hardly any scrotal pain by then.

Steve, my irritation seems to be the skin of the scrotum and the tissue caught between my fingers and the pump, not from the operation. Is that what your problem was or were you still sore from the surgery?

I think the pain you are feeling is a result of the surgery, and your scrotum being manipulated in a different way, and a foreign object was just stuck in your sac. Believe me, it gets better! Time is your friend...remember, you just had some serious surgery done to the most tender part of your body.

Implanted June 1st. I was cycling 7 says after surgery.

Even today 4 months later, my scrotum skin sometimes gets pinched when deflating. Not pain but discomfort that lasts 20 secs. I will sometimes change hands or positions and that helps but I think the key is the skin needs to toughen up a bit.

I have accepted it considering the immense benefit physically and mentally the IPP has given me.

Your skin might be irritated by whatever they use to remove hair. I know it bothered me.

My scrotum has hurt from the beginning, and it has now been about 10 weeks.
The good news is that while there is still some pain, it gets less and less. It is now mildly sore....nothing like 10 weeks ago, so just give it time.

My doc had me begin cycling on day 3, in a very hot bath. The hot bath is incredible in how much it reduces both penis and scrotum pain.

I have found that what also helps recovery is to not only pump in the same place in the scrotum. Move to a different area each time you cycle.

My scrotum and penis felt like they were on fire. Burning like extreme sun burn. When I had my AUS, and using ice packs, I thought that may have frost bite on my scrotum. After implant, I couldn't stand to have anything touch my dick. even a shirt tail. I used a baby sock as a guard.

I'm not surprised that you are experiencing this pain.

At my two-week post-operation appointment, my doctor deflated me. My ball sack hurt for hours afterwards.

I didn't start cycling until six weeks after that. That was, according to my doctor, because I still had healing to do.

Your body is still recovering from the surgery. It makes sense that squeezing parts of your body that are still healing from being cut open and having foreign objects inserted in them will hurt for a while.

The pump will soften, but it was months for me. Holding the pump steady with one hand while I squeezed with the other was helpful.
